Electrical problem , it shut down etself and will not power on ,looks dead . fuse is good . no sights of burn anywhere
If the display comes on for a few seconds (maybe 2-5?) and then shuts down it is likely a shorted output transistor(s) to start and possibly other bad components which would need to be replaced.

First off did you check all your speaker connections. If the L and R wires touch anywhere it can cause this. This is overload protection so the only other possibility. Is the amp or another component has become defective and thats why the overload kicks on to prevent further damage. Depending on how old the unit is it may be under warranty. Even its not these are good receivers and may be worth it to have it repaired.

Yes, although it (AVR) does not support HDMI only component video.
Connect the audio to the receiver and the video directly to the TV if you have inadequate video inputs, or want to take advantage of the HDMI.

I really don't want to replace it, considering it is the most well built of all the hk receivers in its time in my opinion. Prob one of the best ever built period.
