Try a blank DVD +R disc. Older machines require this different system.

Depending on the disc format, home made discs need to be finalised before they'll play on other machines.

I have the same printer. Excellent machine. The printer driver can be downloaded from HP's website.

burn that to a cd and boot your laptop up with that you should be able to reset the password with that - short of that use a bart pe disc ( google this ) to recover your data and then re install the operating system

Just get a disc much easier. If you live in SA give me your adress and I will send you a copy as well as the Autopunch software.
