SOURCE: System will not power on!

The fuse has blown out and some CAPACITORS ON THE POWER BOARD. You will need to replace the fuse first and then look for blown out capacitors on the powerboard using a multimeter... Just in case you locate the faulty capacitors just note down the values on them and google for them. Shouldn't be hard, anyways if can't find them i will be right here to help!

SOURCE: my Philips HTS3410D will not

Mine was exhibiting similar problems. It was the electrolytic capacitors in the power supply board.

There are 4 or 5 of them, and between 2001-2005 there was a bad batch of capacitors that came out of the far east, some of these capacitors were inferior quality so they dry out and fail. You can read about them on badcaps.net You can usually tell a failed electrolytic because the top cap puffs out slightly. Mine were actually almost pointy on top.

If you have the dexterity, soldering pencil and time, you can fix it yourself for about $5.00. Be warned that as soon as you open the case, you void the warranty, so if you don't feel comfortable, take it to a professional. Also, My remote is dying, so if someone wants to sell me their remote, let me know.

Will not power on. The red standby light stays lit. The green light shows up for 2 seconds only when first plugged in and then goes back to red.

Solutions:
Check and Try
1. Pull out the flex cable attached power supply to AMP PCB. Check power ON of unit.
2. Pull out flex cable of the ROM
Check Power ON of unit
Probably AMP PCB doesn't work

Panasonic TX-P42X10B wont turn on - goes into standby

Hard to troubleshoot with just this info, the red light can be helpful if its 10 blinks repeating over and over replace the power supply first then the A board. Voltages check on the power supply would narrow down the culprit.
Post again if you measure the power supply voltages

Replaced bulb yesterday worked fine. Today light will not turn on. projector turns on both lights green for 10 seconds, then power goes red and status blinks green for about 5 seconds, then status light...

green green is power on, normal
then it tries to light the lamp, but it can't so the protection circuit comes activated.
you get red and green blinking

Then it goes to standby, red and off.

so something has happened to the lamp, or lamp ballast power supply.
Take the lamp out and check if all is OK with the 2 terminals in the connector, and the leads to the lamp are intact.

Failing that, I would suspect the ballast lamp power unit

PS3 stopped working. Will not power on (gets to standby)

this is similar to the red blinking lights on the xbox360...it seems your cell processor has overheated resulting in a cold solder joints or worse bridged solder involving the BGA array...I have had some success in fixing these albeit limited. SONY charges 150 plus state tax and sends you a refurbished unit. We fix this for 75

Ilo 32 lcd

I have the same issue. Here's a temporary solution, which is what I've been doing for the last couple of weeks, unplug the unit from the wall, just long enough for the red standby light to go out, then plug the unit back up. as soon that the red standby light comes on, press the on button the the remote or the unit. You may have to do this couple of time before it works. Somedays it works on the first try for me and then somedays I have to do it 3 to 4 time. I sure that at some point this will stop working too.

Panasonic PT L501U Projector

Right , if the indicator light goes from Green to Orange when shutting down , it will be the Powersupply that is giving problems and not the Ballast.

My CP-RS55 Projector Doesn't Work??? No Light?

Hi there

If the unit is brand new , they should replace it under warranty.

This is most probably a faulty Powersupply / Fanboard !
