You dont mention the drivers you need, you dont get drivers for software as you say, but if you mean the motherboard drivers, you will have to find out the maker of your board then search the relevant makers web site for drivers. The only problem you may come across is that the bios may have a different version for Vista than that of what you need for XP so there may be some problems stting up the motherboard drivers.

Base system missing

Is this in Device Manager? Did you notice this after the Win 7 upgrade? If so , it's a common problen when upgrading, Is that the only issue? Your Card Reader work? Modem? Co-processor? I have a HP Pavilion DV9320us I loaded Win 7 64bit Ultimate on with similar issues, modem, co-processor, card reader, etc. Use the Win Vista drivers, modify the drivers for Win 7. HP drivers found here: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?cc=ca&dlc=en&jumpid=reg_r1002_usen_c-001_title_r0001&lc=en&product=3548477& AND change compatibility of drivers , This will give you the general idea: http://www.techsupportforum.com/4478-installing-a-device-driver-under-compatibility-mode-in-windows-7/

Gud day sir,i reformated my hp pavilion t2250 but no audio devices found.

Yes, this happens dani_cueva.

It's no big deal, just download, then install the appropriate audio driver from HP Support,

HP Support > Pavilion dv9000t Notebook PC > Software and Drivers Downloads, Vista operating system,

http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?os=2093&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en&sw_lang=&product=3224058#N150

Left-click on the + sign next to - Driver - Audio

Left-click right on the blue file name - Conexant High-Definition Audio Driver

You'll be taken to another page. On this page go down to the heading - Details and specifications
To the right of - File name: click on the blue - sp35849.exe [1/1, 3.57M]

A small window will pop up, Opening sp35849.exe
Left-click on - Save File

Another small window will pop up.
Write down what is in the top header of this window. This is where the file will download to.

It may state Desktop, or My Documents, or Downloads in the wording.
{Desktop, or Documents, or Downloads, for Win Vista, and Win7}

Desktop: The file - sp35849.exe will be on your desktop screen. (With a yellow folder icon next to it)

My Documents: Left-click on Start, then on My Documents.
{Documents: Left-click on the Windows logo button, then on Documents, for Vista and Win7}

Downloads: Left-click on Start, then on My Documents. Double-Click on Downloads.

{Left-click on the Windows logo button, then on Documents. Double-Click on Downloads, for Vista and Win7}

When you see the file name Double-Click right on it.
Follow the easy instructions of the Installation Wizard.
(Or find the file with .exe behind it, and double-click on this file)

Restart your computer if not asked to do so.

For XP there are two driver files listed. If you have a Conexant audio device, you have to download, and install the second audio file first -
Microsoft Universal Audio Architecture (UAA) Bus Driver for High Definition Audio (sp32646)

Then download, and install the top driver file -
Conexant High Definition Audio Driver

[ A Driver is a small piece of software that allows the operating system (WinXP, Win Vista, Win7) to 'communicate' with a device.
With no driver Windows won't see the audio device installed ]

HP Pavilion a6010n takes forever to boot to OEM Windows Vista disk

Yes it does - do not disrupt the operation in order to prevent future system operating errors. This is normal. If it fails, you will get a notification error and until then, please be patient. I'm assuming you are installing Windows Vista to upgrade from a previous operating system?

Hp pavilion a1220n shuts dwn after loading hp8500 pr drv xpsp3 os

If you can boot into safe mode, then once in safe mode open system restore and then restore to a couple days prior to the install of the hp drivers. This should fix the problem. If you need to know how to get into system restore let me know your operating system (Vista or XP)
