Try disconnecting the negative ground (-) cable from the battery. That will disconnect power to everything including your radio. It might reset it self when you restore power by reconnect the negative ground cable to the battery.
Just check whether the mute button on remote is jammed. Then if that is ok, check whether you can listen to the sound on a Head Phone connected to the TV. Even if it works, the TV needs attention by a qualified service technician.
Yank a Relay? wow, not a very hot expert, no offense. Under the manual headlight switch, is another button that looks like an eyebrow thats been circled, then crossed out. Press this 3x, it will make 2 beeps, and viola, you've disabled the automatic headlights. Press it 3x more to re-enable them
all radios like your has two power inlets one is battery and the other is Acc or Ing. The battery line keeps power in the radio after you turn off your car both lines must work for the radio to turn on it sounds like a resister burn out thats why your face plate was warm.
