Once you have connected your dvd player to your tv and the tv is turned on. Turn on the machine and press "disc" on the remote control. Open/Eject the disc tray. Press STOP on the remote control. Enter the following numbers slowly on the remote control " 7,3,4,4,6,6,0". Configuration will appear on the bottom left hand side of the TV for three seconds. Press "PLAY" to close the tray. The DVD player eill return to normal operation. This SHOULD make the player Region free.

I have an LG Home Theater Model HB806. It will play only DVDs for Region 4 (Australia and Pacific). Do you know the code sequence to unlock that restriction and play all Regions?

Your home theatre, because it's a BR player, has been made specifically for that region - the region for both the DVD and the BR is hard coded in the processor chip. Because of that there is no other region to switch to so you would need to replace the processor to change the region without making it region free.
Sorry, there is no way of making it region free.

I GOT YOUR HELP PREVIOUSLY. RECENTLY I AM HAVING FOLLOWING PROBLEMS WITH MY PHILLIPS HOME THEATRE MODEL-HTS-3265. **** I HAVE BOUGHT ONE VIDEO CD OF VIOLIN BROTHERS LIVE CONCERT FROM ASHA AUDIO BUT...

It's possible that this DVD is not from the same region as the DVD player.
For instance, a DVD from India (region 5) will not play in a DVD player from the US (region 1).
You may want to check into that and post a reply here.

I have a Samsung HT BD2 region 4, I go many region 1, they wont play, how can I make it play?

To unlock the DVD code its defends upon what region you belongs or from were you bought the DVD unit. Just click this site to hack the region code ; http://www.videohelp.com/dvdhacks

To keep it simple, this means that DVD players and DVDs are labeled for operation on within a specific geographical region in the world. For example, the U.S. is in region 1. This means that all DVD players sold in the U.S. are made to region 1 specifications. As a result, region 1 players can only play region 1 discs. That's right, the DVDs themselves are encoded for a specific region. On the back of each DVD package, you will a find a region number (1 thru 6).
The geographical regions are as follows:
    REGION 1 -- USA, Canada
REGION 2 -- Japan, Europe, South Africa, Middle East, Greenland
REGION 3 -- S.Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Parts of South East Asia
REGION 4 -- Australia, New Zealand, Latin America (including Mexico)
REGION 5 -- Eastern Europe, Russia, India, Africa
    REGION 6 -- China
REGION 7 -- Reserved for Unspecified Special Use
REGION 8 -- Reserved for Cruise Ships, Airlines, etc...
REGION 0 or REGION ALL -- Discs are uncoded and can be played Worldwide, however, PAL discs must be played in a PAL-compatible unit and NTSC discs must be played in an NTSC-compatible unit.

The end result is that DVDs encoded for regions other than Region 1 cannot be played on a region 1 DVD player, also, players marketed for other regions cannot play region 1-stamped DVDs

    Hope it may help you;
