Firmware update was stopped by a problem. i can't start Windows. dvd writer doesn't respond me. i don't know what to od please help me :(
You need to insert the Windows CD install disk in the DVD drive and reboot the computer. Let the Windows CD boot up and allow it to go through the motion till you reach the end . It will ask what you intend doing? your answer is to press R for "Console" do this and you will see the Command line just like the old DOS CMD line. Type chkdsk let the computer repair itself take the disk out and hey presto! Your alive again.
try taking the battery out for a few minutes to allow the firmware in the bios to reset. Can you get into setup? if not then the bios maybe out of date try that...
Look I dont want to lead you astray but have you visited herehttp://www.samsung.com/au/products/optic...
They may have the solution you require.
You say you cant reach the DVD Rom "does the light lite up on it" power cable may not be in....If it is lighting up and you place the Windows CD in it it should still read the disc even if it cant be seen by your firmaware bios????
One final suggestion if you cant get to the DVD drive can the windows still start up in Safe Mode if it can, can you see your DVD drive if so the software not firmware needs to be updated go to the CMD and type chkdsk the next time it starts it should fix itself up failing that I suggest you take it to a repair shop.
