Question about Tomtom ONE 3rd Edition GPS
I have a Tomtom one without a SD card. It is a little over a year old. I went to update it and after the updates were downloaded the computer went to restart the tomtom. As it does this the device gets disconnected from the computer (while still being plugged in through the USB cord) and a white screen with that says please wait in about 5 different languages and an egg timer appears. Then it does nothing (I have waited for an hour) and the only way to get out of this screen is to reset the unit. Then it does it all over again turning on and going to the screen described above. Any help would be wonderful.
SOURCE: fix a tomtom
Turn the tomtom on, and then press the reset button on the bottom of the unit with a paperclip. After the reset turn off the unit and then turn it back on. Make sure you have not dislodged the sd card from the unit.

SOURCE: After inserting a 1 gig
delete everything on the card with windows i.e. double click on my computer select whatever drive letter it has asigned to the memory card in your TomTom unit, then select all and delete. Then restart TomTom home copy relevant software across or use the backup facility and everything worked just fine.
