I would suggest what I ended up doing... Go to the website of your earpiece if that is the root of the problem. The LG's manual is imcomplete in many aspects, especially regarding the setup of Bluetooth accessories.

Nhdt w57 does not show Bluetooth icon. Please help

It sounds like you are having an issue with the Bluetooth icon not appearing on your NHDT W57 head unit in your Toyota Vanguard SUV. This could be due to a few different issues.
First, make sure that your head unit is actually capable of Bluetooth connectivity. Some head units may not have this feature built-in.
Second, check to see if the Bluetooth feature is turned on in the head unit's settings. If it's turned off, you will not see the Bluetooth icon.
Third, ensure that your phone's Bluetooth is turned on, and that it is in pairing mode. Once your phone is paired with the head unit, the Bluetooth icon should appear.
Fourth, check the firmware version of your head unit and update it if necessary. Some older version may have bugs or compatibility issues with current devices.
If none of these steps help, it could be a hardware issue and it would be best to consult with a professional or contact the manufacturer for assistance.

Cant get the parrot 3200ls to connect to the iphone4

I see that your question is a little old by know, but I came across it while answering another.

I would suggest seeing if there's a firmware upgrade for your device. You can download the updater here. It looks like the newest firmware is version 2.12. The updater will walk you through the process of downloading the firmware and flashing it to your device. The only requirement is that you need a computer (preferably a laptop) with bluetooth. These firmware updates will often fix syncing problems especially as new devices come out.

Hope this helps

How do i coinnect my blueant supertooth to my iPhone 4

Make sure you have the most up-to-date firmware version. (Currently 1.6 in the United States). A full tutorial on how to connection Blue Ant Super tooth 3 to any Bluetooth interface is listed here. (Tward the bottom of the page, you can get the firmware updates at the top.)

Apple also offers a direct howto section on the iPhone 4 and how to pair it to bluetooth devices. Here.
Hope this solution helps you. If so please recommend it and rate it! :)

Cant connect my phone nokia 6700 to use bluetooth

Do a factory reset (type *#7780# at the standby screen) and try again. Also, update your firmware if you're not running the latest version. Use NSU from the Nokia website to check for updates. Backup your data before you proceed with the update. Bluetooth performance usually gets better with newer firmware versions

I am unable to turn on my bluetooth on my nokia 6700

Hi, turning on your bluetooth on any nokia bluetooth enabled phone is quite simple, all you have to do is to press the menu button, scroll to settings, then to connectivity, under connectivity you will see list of connections and you choose bluetooth, then you select to put it on or off.
Should in case you try this and it does not come up, then your blurtooth is faulty and you have to take it to a mobile phone technician to fix it.

Take care

Nuvi 660 + omnia

Hi, version 3.1 is supposed to help with disconnects. Please see this link:

http://www.gpspassion.com/FORUMSEN/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=109459

However, Garmin released 3.4 which will include the changes in 3.1 and also makes the bluetooth compatible with more phones.

You need to go to www.garmin.com and download their webupdater and run it with your Nuvi connected to the PC with a USB cable. It will check (via the Internet) if you need a firmware upgrade. The latest firmware version for a Nuvi 660 is v4.7. There is a second menu after the main firmware option that allows you to select additional software. Select yes and check the bluetooth 3.4 box and the Chipset "G" box if it's shown.. The Chipset "G" is the upgrade for the receiver in the flip-up antenna. Let it download. When finished, select to safely remove the Nuvi. You can now unplug the USB cable. Your Nuvi will reboot and load in the new changes. Whatever you do, don't turn your nuvi off! Let it go and update. You will see it say "Loader", then "Loading Software" and you'll see a task bar that says "Updating Bluetooth Software" and "Updating GPS Software" (if required). Once you get to the main menu and there are no more texts coming up on the screen. Press the power button and turn your unit off and then back on again. Check the GPS and Bluetooth firmware versions in your Nuvi. It should be 3.0 for the GPS and 3.4 for the Bluetooth. Check the firmware version if you selected v4.7. You will have to re-pair your phone with your Nuvi as the update erases any previous set-up. Let me know how it went for you. If you have trouble with this, let me know. I can do it for you. I have done it many times. Please rate my solution if you found it helpful.

Garmin nui 360

Please tell me what the version of bluetooth firmware is showing up in your unit. You can access this by pressing the wrench symbol, then the gear symbol, then "about". The latest bluetooth version is v3.4. If it shows up as 0.0, then you need to reflash the bluetooth firmware.

One note: Everytime you update the bluetooth firmware, it erases your pairing information with your phone, so you will have to re-pair your phone with your Nuvi.

Best wishes,

Bluetooth enable

The complete solution - user reset is NOT necessary:

Whenever I purchase a new electronic device, the first thing I do is update the firmware. This has me in a bind in this case.

I updated my Nuvi firmware, then my BT firmware.

A few days later, I got the "Enabling Bluetooth" hang. I followed the advice on this page, but "Bluetooth Firmware Update" would not appear in the webupdate list.

1. Browse here and install the latest version of WebUpdater:
http://www8.garmin.com/support/collection.jsp?product=999-99999-27

2. Turn on your Nuvi, press view map, press speed, press and hold the middle of the speedometer (the circle that says 0.0mph in it). After five seconds (maybe a bit longer), the engineering menu will appear.

3. Press "Next" five times (once for each page). You will arrive at the "Bluetooth Status" page.

4. Press "Clear". Confirm by pressing "yes".

5. Press "Updt PR". Confirm by pressing "yes".

6. This probably did _nothing_ for you, but to be thorough, I've included the steps.

7. Connect the Nuvi to your computer. Run the webupdater and if the latest version is already detected on your Nuvi, simply proceed and browse the list of further updates.

8. If "Bluetooth Firmware Update..." (or similar text) DOES NOT APPEAR skip to step 10 below, otherwise complete your fix with the next step, step 9.

9. If the "Bluetooth Firmware Update..." (or similar text) appears in your list, select this update and agree to term of service, and have the updater load the firmware onto your device. Unplug your device. It should powerup automatically. Power off. Power back on. Your BT should be back in business. Do NOT continue with the next steps. You are done.

10. If "Bluetooth Firmware Update..." (or similar text) DOES NOT APPEAR in the list, then you need to remove the offending update that is making WebUpdater believe that your Nuvi is up-to-date.

11. You can access the Nuvi by clicking on "My Computer" and double clicking the Nuvi link.

12. Click the "Garmin" folder.

13. Click the "RemoteSW" folder.

14. DELETE "006B055301.GCD". This file will be one of two GCD files in the directory: <DRIVE>:\Garmin\RemoteSW. The file without the "Date Modified" is the original firmware. The other file is the new firmware that the Nuvi believes is installed. By deleting the newer of the two files, WebUpdater will see that your Nuvi is out-of-date. Return to step 8 to continue your fix.

This should resolve all permutations of this nasty bug.
