I have tried pairing the bt gps through both the phone bt pairing and the gps (TOM TOM) program. It keeps trying to obtain a bt signal from the gps but does not hold the connection. The (*) BT connection icon keeps flashing on the phone without holding a connection.

First you want to make sure that your phone is free of any other
bluetooth interference. Disconnecting the battery of your phone for 30
seconds and reconnecting it helps to reset the phone. Then carefully

Hi all I have a solution for fixing the internal GPS for the Nokia 5800. It will work as long as you leave the power on. If the phone is turned off you will have to repeat this very simple process. 1) Select Applications, and then open the application called, Location. 2) Select positioning. 3) Select positioning methods. 4) Tick Integrated GPS and Assisted GPS. 4) Select positioning server and Select automatic. Select access point and select. Then select gps data. Select options and select satellite status. When you have a satellite lock. Repeat 1), 2) 3) Then select Integrated GPS (ONLY), untick Assisted GPS. What you have basically done here is lock onto the satellites through GPRS (phones internet). Then disconnected from the internet and still get a lock on the satellites just by using Integrated GPS. Hope this helps someone and someone can take this concept to get a better understanding of what and why this is happening. Maybe some wizard can create a phone patch. Cheers to all, Colin Nelson, Kille, Scotland.
