look to see if somthin got in there and if not if the subwoofer is ok you might have to much of a high signal going in to the sub. Sub are only reted for low Hz and not High Hz and if you get a high in to the sub the cole cant moves fast to me the high Hz that is getting.
The best way to fix that is with a crossover and make shour that you crossove is for lowbuypass only.

I am going to assume the 2 speakers in the sub are each 4 ohm loads, and are wired together in parallel, creating a 2 ohm load. And your amp pushes 800W at a 2 ohm load. And actually goes down to 1 ohm/1100W. Anyway...

Seems you want to lessen the wattage output of the amp by making a 4 ohm load. To do that, you need to wire the both 2 ohm speakers in SERIES.
In general wiring principles, to wire in SERIES, take the POS terminal from the amp and wire to the POS terminal of first speaker. Take the NEG terminal from the amp and wire to the 2nd speakers' NEG terminal. Then place a "jumper" piece of speaker wire to connect 1st speakers' NEG terminal to 2nd speakers' POS terminal. Now you have a 4 ohm load, and will be pushing 450W from your amp.

This way the load will now be 4 ohms.

I got two DUAL 2omn speakers and i just need to know best way to wire them for a mono block amp. i have them wired parrallel in the box

With 2 speakers wired in parallel, the impedance will be halved, so you are presenting a 1 ohm load to your amp.
Many amps can drive a 1 ohm load, but not all of them. Check the specs for your amp.

If it can't drive a 1 ohm, then you'll need to rewire them in series. 2 speakers wired in series will double the impedance, so you'll present a 4 ohm load when they're wired that way.

Hello chino2g,

For 3 DVC 4 ohm subs wired to a 2 ohm stable amp, your best option would be to wire all of the sub voice coils in series (individual 8 ohm loads) and then parallel the three subs for a final load of 2.67 ohms. There's really no other configuration. Here's the wiring diagram:

oh no you need a more powerfull amp i recommend selling the one you have and upgrade to a bigger amp ive had the same problem or if not unbridge your amp so it dosent work the amp to much

How do I remove the 80 amp fuse from my 1000 w Hifonics amp? I'm trying to trouble shoot my system and everything is hooked up correctly and has a good ground. I even put my old stereo back in my car thinking my new one was bad. Checked every fuse, BUT I can not seem to remove the fuse from the actual amp to check it. Am I just missing something? There's no clip no button and it doesn't appear it unscrews where the two two metal spurs are.
