How to install window XP

This procedure demonstrates how to install Windows XP Professional. The procedure to install Windows XP home edition is very similar to the professional edition. Since Windows XP Pro is more advanced operating system, it will be used to demonstrate the installation procedure.
The best way install Windows XP is to do a clean install. It is not difficult to perform a clean installation. Before you perform the installation I recommend that you check to ensure that your hardware is supported by XP. If your hardware is not on the compatibility list you can check your hardware manufactures website to download the drivers for Windows XP. Save all the necessary drivers onto floppy disks or CD before you start the installation.

Was given inspiron 5000e laptop- / can it be

Yes, you can upgrade to windows XP but it will require upgrading the memory to the maximum supported memory of 512 MB. It is set up with PC100. I would suggest going with PC133 when you upgrade the memory. Be advised though that the PC100/PC133 memory is expensive new but you can usually shop around and find it used for a cheaper price. The 800MHz processor will support the XP operating system.

Veo webcam compatability with windows vista

Hi

The general install procedure for USB devices is to install the drivers/software first then connect the device. The PC should then detect and initialize the device.

I however recommend you check and follow manufacture's guidance/steps.

If you don't have the drivers/softwrae, download the drivers/software from the link below.

Nero Image - http://www.nztechie.com/downloads/ISO/VeoInstallCD.nrg
ISO Image - http://www.nztechie.com/downloads/ISO/VeoInstallCD.iso
NB: About 154MB. You need to extract the CD Image file or burn it to CD using appropriate software.

The install CD claims compatibility with Windows 98/ME/2000/XP. It should be compatible with Windows Vista when compatibility mode is used.

Display driver missing

If your OS is XP SP2, you can un install the Graphics card via device manager and on re boot let Windows new found hardware wizard pick it up and it should set up your Card itself, as the CD's drivers are probably not the latest XP SP2 compatible driver.

You could also go to the Graphics card's Manufacturer's Support site and download the latest XP compatible driver, or whatever OS's driver you require.

You can look here also: http://www.fixya.com/support/appian_graphics

Good luck.
