How to fix date and hour on a Motorola cordless phone MA561?

This is quite the technical manual!

https://datasheet.octopart.com/MPC561CZP40-Freescale-Semiconductor-datasheet-66790.pdf

However, Page 18 of the manual says it only works if you pay your telco for caller display. The page says this model number is the same, which I don't believe, but the idea might be valid.

Setting the Date and Time
If you subscribe to caller ID with your local telephone company, the date and time set automatically with the first incoming call.

Time on phone keeps changing and doesn't stay when I put the correct tome in...which I shouldn't to do right....its suppose to be automatic but its constantly giving me the wrong time...help please

Your secondary battery located inside your unit which is for correct time display maybe drained. I have the same problem with my phone. After I had it replaced by a technician, my phone clock display is now working nomal. Another option if you don't want your secondary battery replaced is setting your phone to automatically detect your network's time. Go to settings, look for time and date settings and locate the automatically update time or something like that. Everytime you turn on your phone, it should automatically detect and display a correct time.

How to set time & date on phone

If you subscribe to Caller Display services, the first incoming call will set your phone's date and time automatically. Otherwise, here is how you do it.
1. press Options 2. Press * three times The display shows "Enter time/date?"
You may set both time and date or you may set either of them separately

TO SET BOTH 1. Press # when the display shows "*=Next #=Enter" 2. Wait for each prompt. You will be asked to enter: - the time - am or pm - SAVE - the month - the day, and  - SAVE (Enter the hour, day, and month as two-digit numbers. For example, enter 02:15 for 2:15, 05 for May and 08 for the 8th of the month.)
TO SET ONLY THE DATE 1. Press # when the display shows "*=Next #=Enter" 2. Press * when the time appears 3. Enter the month and day when prompted. 4. Press SAVE
I have a question for you: Can you give me the specs of the AC adapter for this phone (usually written on the adapter)? 1. What is the OUTPUT in volts (V)? 2. What is the OUTPUT in milliamperes (mA)?
3. What is the polarity (i.e. is the + sign in the center of the jack or on the exterior)?
(The wall plug transformer has a diagram depicting two circles with the inner circle representing the center conductor. A line coming from the inner circle will show a minus (-) or a plus(+) symbol to let you know the polarity of the center conductor.)
Thanks!
