I just bought a brand new Canon PIXMA iP3300 and it does not work. I have never gotten it to print a single page. As soon as I turn it on, the power and alarm lamps flash. I have tried the solution on the Canon web page (which is basically just to turn the printer off for awhile) but no luck. Any ideas?
My first suggection is to return it to the store for a full replacement with you original receipt. No way should a printer do this just out of its box. The more you fiddle with it, the less likely to be able to replace it (and the longer you leave it to. If you leave it too long, you will have to have it repaired under warranty. You can try uninstalling it by following correct pc directions at remove programs menu. Then, unplug it after turing it off. Replug it, reinstall it. Try printing now. If still no good, repeat the whole process but this time, do not reinstall with original disc. Make a copy and reinstall the printer with the copy. Noe try printing again. If no luck, return it to store in as original condition as you can manage with all softwares and mauals and your receipt and demand a replacement, Under fair trading they cannot refuse.
