I chose an image - looking down toward a Rowboat on the sea as a test print, you can imagine the wood, the color, but on printing(as with any image) it comes out lacking correct color, it's all washed-out looking and very Yellowish all over, like it's been yellow filtered! I'v checked all that I know to check, but no answer! they are new print cartridges, gone through the usual clean command, and test prints~ help!!
Does it copy an image correctly? if it does than the problem is with the driver or your computer. in the setting menu try turning off the "true to Life feature as this can sometimes cause this kind of problem

Can you print gradation test pattern for each color in service mode? Meter count, details, stop 00 stop 01 Test Output Gradation pattern select magenta. If you open the side cover after printing a document with the color magenta try to catch a print of paper do you see the color magenta on the transfer belt if yes the drum is ok could be the transfer belt magenta 1st transfer roller on the belt replace the belt assy.
IT is not the problem of your printer sir. I would tell you the steps to do so and it would be fine. When you are going to printer Image right click the image and chose "print as picture" there will be a wizard for printing the image chose there the way of printing as streched image and then you problem will be solved.
You can easily fix this yourself, one of the quickest ways to fix it is to print 10 doublesided blank pages and it will clean the inside of the machine for you and the line will vanish.

Sounds like the machine needs to be cleaned. Probably a heavy use machine that has quite a bit of ink spray build up on the inside. I would imagine your service station has quite a bit of ink build up in it as well possibly causing the cartridges not to be cleaned like they should. A good cleaning cures most of what ails inkjet printers. We would charge $85 in our shop for complete disassembly down to the metal frame and cleaning.
