Generally there is an A/V socket at the front of the camera (under a plastic cover?) and you plug a stereo 3.5 mm plug which has two RCA sockets or jacks on it into this. Connect these to your DVD recorder - to Left and to Audio. This works on the ES300V.

I have a Sony Handycam Vision CCD-TRV65 and want to convert my tapes to DVD. What device to I need to do this?

well this is what i do and it is pretty long and not a really good way so first connect one side of your av cable to the output of your tv and the input to your camcorder and with the help of another av cable put the input to a dvd recorder and the output to the input of your tv then insert a (dvd+r/dvd-r) dvd into your DVD Recorder then record the video that is displayed on your tv to the dvd inserted into the dvd recorder then finalize it when it finishes and put it into your computer
So Basically all i use (as the device) is the DVD Recorder which u can find in any electronic store or online or on ebay i use this to record tv any video and videos on my camcorder and movies that i insert onto my usb and play it on my Nbox or Ps3 and then i record/burn the movies onto a dvd-r/dvd+r
Ps. I Say dvd-R is better because you can format it and delete titles and videos from it but u cant do this on a DVD+R

Sony hi8 video cam trying to record onto cd's through Sony dvd pl

Yellow connection for camcorder is your video output, the other one is for audio. If your DVD recorder does not have composite video inputs you will have to get an adapter to attach to your yellow wire and the other end of adapter will go to your recorder. OK?

Can I transfer videotape movies onto DVD media using the Hitachi DVD-Camcorder?

Yes, and it is highly recommended to do so. Hitachi’s DVD-Camcorder has an advanced analogto-digital conversion system. By using the analog Audio/Video input on the camcorder, the tape based information is converted into digital data and is then recorded onto the DVD disc. See manual instructions for switching input from Camera to Line-In.
