I'm not familiar with the PS180E and can't find any reference to it... but I do know from experience that some of the personal/desktop NAS devices will only run in a Wintel environment. They are only compatible with Windows File Sharing. If that's not the case, let us know more details about the model number, etc.

I downloaded adobe digital editions. They ask for an id and password which I don't have. When I click on the register it sends me to this page. How do I register?

Mac OS solutions Uninstall previous versions of Digital Editions for Mac OS

You must have administrator privileges to complete these steps.

  1. From your user directory, locate /Library/Preferences/Macromedia/Flash Player/www.macromedia.com/bin/open.
  2. Drag the digitaleditions1x5 folder to the Trash, and empty the Trash.
Manually install Adobe Digital Editions for Mac OS
  1. Finish installing or uninstalling any other applications.
  2. Uninstall any earlier versions of Adobe Digital Editions.
  3. Download the installer package for your Mac OS X machine:
  1. Click Open in the File Download screen to start the installation.
Note: If your connection times out, click Save, instead of Open, to save the installer package to your desktop.
  2. If necessary, unzip the .zip file. If you're using Safari as your browser, or if Firefox is set up to unzip files, the file unzips automatically.
  3. Double-click the .pkg file to start the installer, and follow the onscreen instructions.

Note: If your connection times out, save the installer package to your desktop. (Click the link for your Mac OS X machine, and then click Save.) Double-click the file to start the installation.

Suddenly press initialize or delete button. how to recover videos and pictures?

You have chance to get back those deleted picture and video files from your Canon digital camcorder, BUT it is just possible. Because if those deleted files has been overwritten by new files you saved in, then there is no hope. However usually overwritten cases are hard to happen as long as the memory card or hard disk has enough volume.

Then, take so called data recovery program to handle the issue and see if you can grab some or all of the deleted files back. you may take a try Wondershare Photo Recovery (also recover videos and music under both Windows and Mac OS).

Photo Recovery (if you are running Windows OS)
Mac Photo Recovery (for Apple Mac OS X)

You should take care - before your files are recovered, do not save more files to the device concerned(do not take more videos or photos) in case overwritten situation will happen.

Is there a way to recover deleted videos?

You can often successfully recover deleted files from a PC, phone or camera memory card or USB Memory stick, it just depends on what's happened since the files were deleted.
When you delete files the data itself isn't deleted, just the index entry that says where the data for those files is located. The space containing the deleted files is also now marked as free space so it is available to the system for any new files to be written there instead.

If and when that happens, then it becomes too late to recover your deleted files so it is very, very important to not save any new files or data to the device concerned.
If the deleted files are on a memory card or USB memory stick, just don't save any new files to it.

One of the easiest ways to see if you can recover deleted files is to try some file recovery software. Recommended this data recovery as it saved my life many times.

Error -37

Hi, sorry you are having problems,
Well, here is what error -37 is: Code: error -37 bdNamErr Description: Bad file name (File System Error)
Basically, it is saying you cannot save a file by that name in that place....
Did you try saving it elsewhere on your Mac, like on the desktop ?
Just a side note, Apple stopped development on AppleWorks some time ago ( 3 years ) in favour of iWork. I highly recommend getting the newest version of iWork 09, it's compatible with all your Works documents and is really built for MacOS X 10.5, Leopard.
What do you mean whe you say “ Before I reimaged the machine ..” ?
