You may not want everyone to see the content you have stored on your iPod.
Whether it's a private photo, music that might be inappropriate for young ears, confidential information or contacts saved from work, you may need an extra safeguard to keep this information from reaching others.
With the iPod Nano, you can set a password that allows you to lock the unit so that only you
or someone you entrust with the password an view its contents.
And if that password gets into the wrong hands, you can always reset it from your iPod.
Use the click wheel on your iPod Nano to scroll to "Extras" from the main screen.
Press the center button to select the Extras menu.
Scroll down to "Screen Lock" and press the center button.
Scroll to "Reset Combination" and press the center button.
Enter your current password when your iPod asks you to enter your choice of password.
Use the click wheel to scroll through the numbers and the center button to select a number; repeat this to choose the next one, and so on.
Re-enter your new password to verify the change.
You have just set a new password on your iPod Nano.

To unlock my touch pad

Hi h sabdin...

According to Apple, if you have forgotten the code, you can unlock the IPod by doing the following:
Connect your IPod to the primary computer you use it with (the first one IPod synced with), and open iTunes.
When you disconnect iPod from the computer, it will no longer be locked.
If you can't unlock IPod using either [the code or connecting it to the computer you use to manage its songs]. . . you can restore your iPod to factory settings using iPod Updater. Please note that this will erase all data on your iPod.
Afterwards, you can add your music and data back to your iPod.
If you want to change the primary computer that your IPod is associated with, do this:
1. Restore your iPod. WARNING: The restore process cannot be undone.
All of your songs and files will be deleted. Always make a backup of your important data.
2. Connect your iPod to the computer that you want to be the primary computer.
3. Open iTunes and synchronize.
Apple also notes that company "representatives cannot unlock an iPod if you forget your combination. If you can't unlock your iPod and you don't have access to the primary computer, your only option is to restore the IPod, which will erase all music and data."

Can not unlock ipod

Hi,

How to Unlock an iPod

Your later generation Apple iPod can be locked to protect your personal data from anyone else's eyes. There are a variety of ways to unlock it depending on your access to the combination, the primary computer linked with the iPod, or neither.
Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Unlock with the Combination

Remember the 4-digit combination you used to set the screen lock.

Enter the exact combination. If the combination is correct, the iPod unlocks and displays the screen you were on before you locked it.

The numbers on the screen flash red if you enter the code incorrectly.
Unlock with the Primary Computer

Plug the iPod into the primary computer linked to that iPod, the first computer you synchronized it with unless you have designated another computer as the primary computer.

Open iTunes and sync the iPod as normal.

Remove the iPod, following the normal removal procedure. The iPod unlocks automatically as you remove it.
Unlock by Restoring

Restore the iPod to factory settings if you do not have access to your primary computer. This erases all of the data you have stored on the iPod.

Plug your iPod into the new computer you want to be the primary computer. Open iTunes and click on the "Restore" button.

Reload your data, if it is available and sync your iPod. Remove it following normal procedures.

Have a nice day..
