Our picture will only show reds and greens, no other colors.

Go to your On Screen Menu to picture settings and reset and choose "reset picture" mode. This will bring you back to factory defaults. If this doesn't work shut off wait 10 sec. and turn on the TV. If still no luck call your best friend who is a TV repairman, you probably have a damaged blue drive.

What causes the yellowish hue in the centre of the screen

There are several different types of projection sets: some use 3 picture tubes, red,green,blue--if this kind of set is what you have the coolant used in the blue tube is bad-----this type of problem leaves red and green which = yellow.

Most common in Samsung, Philips, Magnavox type sets.

If it is a newer set without picture tubes (a dlp style set) yellow in the middle of the screen would denote a damaged optical light engine.

Let me know brand, model number, date made----all are on back of set.

Something has happened to the color on my tv. it's lost the reds in the picture. face color is good. pinks, blues and greens are ok. i've unplugged and re-started. how do you go back to default...

Look for color temperature settings under the menu and video settings. If there is an overall factory reset or restore to factory settings, try that as a last resort.

Sony trinitron kv36fs13 the picture is fine but there is yellowish green tint on full screen

Hi,
Yellowish tint in picture shows that TV needs increase in blue gain because picture tube is bit weak in result.

Yellowish picture everything else is good

That model had lots of problems, it sounds like your loosing blue. Try putting up a color bar chart and see if you have blue. Color bar is availible on most cable systems. ggod luck

Picture is double lined of greens and reds

You have a convergence output IC failure. You my also need a few small associated parts as well. Expect to pay $350-450 to have this fixed.

Toshiba 65H80 has yellow hue.

Check you HD inputs or source. Sounds like the red stream is missing; maybe a loose cable.

Green Picture

I guess it's missing blue. Even if you see the blue crt working it's not enough and focalised. replace the coolant in it and also check if you have some coolant leak on the crt pcb.

Problem with Samsung PCJ522R 52": White is yellowish

It is possible that you may have had a leak in one or more of your CRT coolant chambers, see: Product: Projection TV Bulletin # PJT01-001 Model: PCJ, PCK and HCJ series Bulletin Date: 6/1/01 SUBJECT: CRT Leakage Background: When repairing set for CRT leakage, check if CRT has Expansion Chamber installed. If not, install Expansion Chamber on all 3 CRTs. Production during November 1999 ~ September 2000 will need Expansion Chamber installed. Rear panel will indicate production date. This can also leave a residue on your printed circuit board that would have to be cleaned off to prevent further corrosion and leakage currents. Hope this helps.
