how do i downlode the printer

  • Anonymous Jan 01, 2008

I am very disappointed when I contacted the HP Help line to assist me with the installation of my HP F340 printer with my new computer with Windows Vista. I was given the run around by an automative service then when a live person came on the telephone he took me through a nightmare of information and then wanted to charge me a fee when I simply needed assistance with the CD for installation. I will never purchase an HP product again.

Obviously you have already tried to without success or else you would not be posting to this site. The answer is two-fold unfortunately. Sometimes manufactures cannot keep up with tech changes in OS and there is a driver update lag. If you did try to no avail, it means the install disc/driver is not updated enough to be compatable with vista. You have two choices. Run xp on your laptop instead of vista or go to Hewlett Packard web sit (google it) and go to download section. Download the update driver that is vista compatable if there is one available. Now, install the printer on you laptop using this new driver. Back it up on disc to avoid losing it and having to download it again.

I have a canon s520 printer that I want to use with my new HP laptop. The disk is not compatable with my laptop. How do i install it

Go to this link. If you have Windows Vista, the driver for your S520 is included in the Windows Vista package, but you can download the Add-on Module to give you the full options package for your printer. If you have Windows XP, there is a driver located on this page. (Select your OS in the dropdown box.)

Windows os

Its true. the Bios or HDD driver wont allow you to install Win XP on it.. This BIOS is compatible with only Win Vista. The only easy way to do it is by creating 2 partitions while installing vista. once vista is installed- install XP with Dual boot and than format the vista partition.

Hp psc 750 printer with Vista system

The printer/scanner/copier will work with Windows Vista stated on:
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c00808543&lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&product=57769&lang=en

You don't need the drivers, only for Windows 98SE to Windows XP, Mac OS 9 to Mac OS X, and Linux. Vista is 100% compatible with the HP PSC 750. Windows XP, same thing as Vista, but XP still needs the drivers to work, or not. Source: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c00814685&lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&product=57769&lang=en displays which type of printers are 100% supported for Windows Vista & higher.

Software for hp printer compatible for vista

Which model printer? Drivers for many (hundreds) of printers are built into Vista, use Start, Settings, Control Panel, Printers, Add Printer and see if your printer is listed. If not you can try downloading the drivers from HP's website here.
