I have a Dewault D55141 air compressor that runs to 150 lbs of pressure and blows the valve and releases air. I read your reply to same problem about cut out pressure adjustment
Looking at your manual, instead of the actual item since I don't have one, I see 312, 329 and 314. It is possible that 312 the switch is shorted causing the pump to run to pop off and beyond. Item 14 is the pop off valve and if the numbers indicate anything, it is a 175 PSI pop off and is going off early. The switch doesn't have any indication of pressure rating.
The screw and bracket that mounts on the switch may be a pressure adjustment but hard to tell remotely.
Some units like this don't have adjustments, they just pump to a predetermined pressure and stop, being determined by the pressure switch and if the switch fails, a pop off will prevent over-pressuring the tank or system.
If you determine that the screw and bracket do not make an adjustable pressure switch, replace the switch with a like on or one that you can adjust in the range you need. Also if the pop off is going off early, replace or if possible, clean it, they can become dirty with rust.
Is possible that the screw fell out of the pressure switch rendering it "broken" until you put it back in....
