Quick steps - How to restart the printer spooler
Press the windows or start icon and type 'services', then click the services app. Find 'Printer spooler' in the list and right-click it. Then click 'stop' and wait for 30 - 60 seconds. Right-click 'printer spooler' again and click 'start'.

Have you tried restarting the print spooler from services?
Start the Print Spooler service from the Services console

1. Click Start, click Run, type services.msc, and then click OK.
2. Right-click the Print Spooler service, and then click Stop.
3. Right-click the Print Spooler service, and then click Start.

1. Click Start, click Run, type cmd, and then click OK.
2. Type the following commands at the command prompt: net stop spooler
   net start spooler
   exit
   Note Press ENTER after each command line.
