Help! I have vista preinstalled in my laptop, i've installed pirated autocad 2009 and it worked well until i hooked up to the internet, then it began showing an error ' windows encountered problems opening autocad' , tried 2008 and the same thing happened - had licensing error. even autocad 2005 won't open because of a serial number error. Is there no other way for me to use autocad in my laptop unless i buy a licensed one? the installer i had has both serial number and keygen / crack but once i get to install it, windows won't even run autocad anymore.
Hi,
This is the price to pay for pirated stuff!, I suggest you uninstall your software and re-install it but before doing so make sure that your internet is disabled (manually disconnect from you provider or disable your wifi card). Then do your work, saves your files and connect to internet without running your software if you need to send a draft to a friend.
Hope it helped,

licensed copy is so expensive. is there no other way around it? i tried to replace vista with xp but it seems there's no provision for my lenovo laptop for that.
Hi, already done it, uninstalled and reinstalled autocad 2009, 2008 and even 2005 several times, tried cleaning up the registry all without connecting to the internet, done disk wipe for drive C and reinstalled Vista from the CD that came with the laptop... all to no avail... :( it seems Autocad with Vista has marked my laptop as an autocad pirate.... thanks for the advise
It's probably attempting updates perhaps for the autocad when you connect to the internet? Buying a licensed copy is a good idea.
