Fan wont turn off in energy saver mode - Maytag M6Y12F2A Air Conditioner

Doesn't this unit only have electric heat, fan and cooling where the energy saver mode is only controlling the cooling? I think it does not do energy saving mode with heat.

IT is three buttons not two. Cooling Off mode (also called Shop mode), is designed for use by retailers when they display refrigerators on the shop floor. In Cooling Off mode, the refrigerator's fan motor and lights work normally, but the compressors do not run, and the refrigerator and freezer do not get cold. To start Cooling Off mode, press and hold the Energy Saver button, the Freezer button and the Lighting button for 5 seconds during normal operation. The refrigerator chime sounds and O-FF appears on the display. To cancel Cooling Off mode, press and hold the Energy Saver button, the Freezer button and the Lighting button again for 5 seconds, until the chime sounds. To Activate the Energy Saver Mode:
1. Press and hold OPTIONS for 3 seconds. "Energy saver on."

An energy saver setting is what it sounds like. Turn off energy saver feature and fan should run 100% and compressor cycle on-off separately.If not familiar with energy saver setting .make sure it has one or not before disregarding this.

The Energy Saver mode is activated by using the hand held remote control, that comes with the unit. Pressing the Energy Saver button activates it. Once activated the fan will shut OFF when the the compressor does. After which, about every 3 minutes the fan will turn ON to check the room air to determine if cooling is needed.

The energy saver setting will turn the blower fan off when the thermostat reaches the desired room temperature (with the compressor). Other non energy savers only cycle the compressor to regulate the room temp. so their fans will operate continusously using more electricity.
