Insinkerator instant hot water faucet

Insinkerator stainless tank does not have anode rod to protect from rusting. So these water heaters rust out at welds. And must be replaced. And this is frequent problem.
Copy following link for installing under-counter water heater and see manuals for various models available. Non-insinkerator water heaters have anode rod to protect from rusting:

I have an insinkerator hot water dispenser with stainless steel tank, and the tank is now leaking. I'm wondering if it can be fixed or needs to be replaced

Replace water heater if tank wall is leaking.
These things have short warranty period.
Stainless steel will theoretically last longer, but steel tank water heaters have replaceable anode rod to prevent rust-out.

Be sure to recycle the old metal.

Hi, my insinkerator hot water dispenser is leaking from the bottom screw. It is a couple of years old. Moder SST

My unit is 3 1.2 tears old. It started to delay the flowing of hot water. Today I held the lever down until hot water came out but I noticed water leaking from inside the unit. I figured that the tank failed, and since it was over 3 years old I decided to open it up. What I found was that there is a plastic tube at the top of the unit that was very discolored and brittle which developed a crack. when I touched it it completely severed. I called the Insinkerator hotline at 1800-558-5700 and they told me that opening the unit voids the warranty. I said that it appears to be out of warranty and I needed just the plastic tube for repair. The per on on the phone said that as a one time courtesy that a new unit would be shipped to me free of charge and that I could install it myself or they will have a tech do it. I opted to do it myself. Hope this helps

Insinkerator hot water heater takes a long time to dispense water

It may have mineral deposit buildup on the inside. You will need to consult your maintenance manual to see how to flush the unit and clear it of deposits. You can also contact Insinkerator for the information as well. You can use vinegar to clean it just like you would a coffee pot. Take the inlet supply off and using a funnel pour the vinegar in and turn the unit on.

THE INSTA HOT HEATER KEEPS TRIPPING THE BREAKER?

Hire an electrician.  The breaker needs to be replaced or the wiring in your house is not able to handle it.  I believe most need 2-30amp breakers.

THE INSTA HEATER KEEPS TRIPPING THE BREAKER?

Is this a new install or is this something that has just come up? If it is a new install, the amperage on the breaker is too low. You will have to call an electrician to come in and check to see if the romex wire is large enough to handle a higher amp breaker. If not, it could be that the breaker has become weak and tripps prematurely. If it's not the breaker its self then the heating element is bad on the unit.
