Question about Hayward 116k BTU HeatPro Digital Heat Pump HP21003T
If your meaning the top mounted fan , if the compressor does run , and the top fan does not , fans do go bad there not too expensive and don't require a rocket scientist with a truck load of tools to replace them , two biggest things to look for are Height of fan away from hitting solid object (compressor) and match wires color for color (turn power off !!!) , replace capacitor as well they aren't included with motors there extra !!! new motors do say on package what size capacitor to buy (it might be different than old one?)

SOURCE: pool pump is very loud
loud pumps are most times caused by bad bearings and need to be replaced or better yet replace the whole pump new bearing cost about $100 to replace but not always easy to find someone to do hope this helps

SOURCE: The pump only hums when plugged in. Any suggestions?
It sounds like the impellor is locked. Take this part off and then see if the pump is turning but before you do, some of them have a big screw driver slot in the shaft. If it does, turn it to see if you can free the impellor. I have done this many times and they will continue to work for years after. They just get stuck from rust, etc. and also being frozen a little. Hope this helps.

SOURCE: My hayward pool heater is displaying P5 and the
You heat pump is actually displaying "PS" for Pressure Switch. Either there is not enough water flow or the switch could be bad. If you have a sand filter, put the filter head in the "bypass" mode and try again. If the heater works, filter problem. If not, heater problem. Instruction book found here: http://www.haywardnet.com/products/Manuals/pdfs/Manual122.pdf

SOURCE: Heat pump will not start
Could be a firmware issue and require a new mother board. Unfortunately, you probably have done all you can on your own. Time to call the local HVAC service person...

SOURCE: Hayward pool heater - p5 code
The code is "PS" for Pressure Switch and means there is insufficient pressure to operate (low flow) or the switch itself is bad.
