Question about IBM ThinkPad R50e Notebook
Hi to all, what can I do? It also ruined the HD and I had it replaced. I had to go to the control panel and disable the trackball mouse because it would just dance around the screen without me being able to control it, but now I'm using an external usb mouse and can't use the DVDROM what can I do? is this a known problem? thanks
- reload the laptop to factory (Acces Thinkpad button) or use system restore to go back a few days in time to before you installed it.

Usually answered in minutes!
and I also tried replacing the DVDROM with my other laptop and it works there.
I'm so glad someone answered me so thank you bassclef.
especially since you are ranked as a master, I did system restore and I also reloaded the BIOS and all i should have written that also. I think it's a Motherboard problem because the DVDROM and the mouse together don't work, but I don't want to buy a motherboard today because it costs too much comparisent to new motherboards and a new computer will be cheaper and i'm not sure that that's the problem anyways so if there's no solution i think i'll just giveup and live with it, heh:)
