Could be a problem with the LCD display... it is defective. If you turn the unit on, and nothing is displayed in the LCD, not even a menu can be displayed and the > play button does nothing to show your pictures... then it is broken.
I recently bought a fujifilm digital camera an when i turn on the power it appears to have a blank white screen, an nothing else seems to work ive tried pushing the menu botton an switched it on an off many of times, but nothing seems to be working just a blank white screen please coul d you help me thanks,.
I wish camera makers would stop including internal memory on their cameras. It causes nothing but headaches. Go into your menu and find "format" and follow the on-screen instructions to erase the internal memory. Then, go into the menu and find "reset'...follow the on-screen instructions. Then, insert the card and do the format thing again to erase the card and optimize it. You should be ok now.
This is a problem with the internal lcd components or the lcd screen itself. Have you downloaded the pictures off the camera? Your options are repair or replacement. Follow this link for repair through sony: https://eservice.sony.com/webrma/web/index.do
I had that problem and found that plugging it in to my pc and downloading the photos ticking remove photos from camera worked I think it is because I filled the memory card. plus the camera charges while attached to pc.
