Question about HP Compaq Business d530 Small Form Factor PC Desktop
Open Control Panel and select "Display". Check on the "settings" tab what colour settings you have on for your monitor. Try putting this up to the highest quality and see if you get a change. try the others if not. Do you have your windows XP fully updated to Service Pack 2 and all the latest auxiliary updates? If not, do that (go to windows update from control panel). Are you using microsoft internet explorer as your browser? if so, and especially if the problem is a recent one, update internet explorer (latest version is 7.0.5730.11). to check this, open IE and select the help menu, select "about Internet Explorer" and it will tell you the version you are running. If none of the above helps, then open IE and select the tools menu, and select "internet options". Select the "advanced" tab. Check that "enable visual styles on buttons and controls in webpages" is on. check the section "multimedia" write down what you currently have (in case you need to change back), then change them all to on. Restart your computer after trying each thing. Hope this helps, please ask again if no joy

Ps also check in internet options (the "content" tab) that you have no parental controls turned on - I don't think this could cause the problem you describe, but worth a try if nothing else works.
:)
What results did you get from trying the above? Please give some more detail and I may be able to help :)

Hey Noggin, Hope you got my 'Thanks For Trying' message. I was going to leave it there for now!
Sorry, No joy with any of the above. If you can think of anything else, will be delighted to try as the problem is 'really' annoying.
Don't bust a gut fella but your effort(s)/ suggestions are very much appreciated;-)

Al Davis
