Re:
The cable should be on the Input to RF connector. Then you should reprogram tv for cable channels. If you have dvd then it should go to the inputs for 1/2/3 A/V inputs yellow for video, red for right audio and white for left audio. Color coded! Hope this helps!

I'm Joe, thank you very much for choosing FixYa for your technical support needs.
I would be pleased to provide whatever assistance you need with hooking up your Direct TV receiver to your TV, or with hooking up your DVD player to your TV.
In order to provide you with the proper specific detailed instructions, could you please COMMENT back here to this page and provide the exact model numbers of your TV, your DVD player, and your Direct TV receiver, since exact connection instructions can vary between different models.
Normally the model numbers are printed on a label on the back panel of each device.
You can use the POST A COMMENT button near the bottom of the screen to post this additional information and I will receive it right away. Then I can proceed to look up and provide you with the appropriate User Manuals for each device and also the necessary instructions to hook them up.
Thank you very much, I look forward to hearing back from you and assisting you further.
Hi, Mitsubishi VS-60805 is 1999 model tv and unable to receive digital cable channels because it is equipped with analog tuner that can not receive cable channels because it is almost 11 years old. You need to hook Cable Box in AV input of tv, plug digital cable in cable box and get digital cable channels in tv. Cable box has its own remote control and inbuilt digital tuner to receive all digital cable channels and widely available in Store, Radio Shake, amazon.com etc. Let me know if you have additional question. Thanks.
Howdy,
This TV does not have a screen saver program this type of TV does not need it. If you have a device hooked to TV such as game Box etc. They have their own screen saver program.
I have a sr605 Onkyo receiver and just hooked it up to a new Mitsubishi 73" and I could not get the picture to work, sound did though. Here is the problem the Onkyo is HDMI 1.3 but TV calls for HDMI 1.3a. There is a big difference between the 2 and the Onkyo will not work with TV. The newer model TV'S say in the manual Category 2 V 1.3a. You need to make sure that all your parts are compatable. It makes a big difference.
No video but good audio Mitsubishi VS5051. Check R509 and R 519, 100 ohm resistors located on the main PCB near the flyback transformer. Also bad connections on any of the yokes and the vertical output IC will cause the same problem.
Instead of connecting each device (sky&dvd rec.) to the TV separately, I would simply hook up the sky to dvd recorder (connect the sky output and dvd recorder input), and then connect the dvd recorder output (must be called "play out") to one of the available recorder inputs (which could be a dvr, an empty tape input, etc)of your amp. However, you'll still have to establish a feedback between your dvd recorder and your amp. Therefore, if the dvd rec. supports it, you'll have to hook up the rec.out, which is on your amp.,to rec.in on your dvd recorder. After all these audio connections, you will only need to make a video connection among the sky, dvd rec., and tv. Get a video cable to hook up the sky video output to your dvd recorder's video input, then do the same thing between the dvd recorder's tv output and tv.
Thank you very much. I will let you know. I am going to try right now.
