Is the wiring for mic same on superstar 121 as galaxy echo base

As I see it they are the same .The schematic for both radios show the same contact points in the radios so I would assume that the one mic would fit both radios .

Got a connex 3300HP has a ranger board and chipset won't modulate recieves fine keys up relay clicks needle doesn't move no voice either cant find schematics

You may have a dead meter.
Modulation is audio's affect on swing wattage or pep. Notice that needle moving more with your voice.
Dead key or carrier wattage is without your voice enhancing the power only with mic keyed.
I can only assume that the chipset you are referring to is an ic chip audio or pll which must be working if you are receiving audio.
Check your mic cord................ transmit and modulation and even your receive volume can be affected by the cord/mic plug solder joints or broken wires here.
http://www.cbtricks.com/radios/galaxy/dx33hp2/graphics/dx_33hp2_sch.pdf this is a similar radio the General Lee, Connex 3300hp and Galaxy hp2 share boards i believe dont hold me to that thou.

Power wires shorted out. something smoked near the mic connector. The radio does still power up and recieve. It will key up if I cross the mic pins. checked the mic on another radio thinking it could have...

You probably burnt resistors, relays and transistors near front end sections. Need to take to shop or do yourself. Small solder pencil, solder ******, and change all parts and tiny relay box which may be a black square(but,it rarely fails) I would say transistors, capacitors, resistors. Best to let professionals have a look..Cb shops,Radio Shack, www.copperelectronics.com. Galaxy Radio.Inc.People who service radios; they may charge a good price $$$ though. About $18 to $30/Hr. Labor plus parts.

Got a galaxy dx 949 mobile trying to wire a older d-104 to it and it dosent sound right its not got the mod it needs. thanks

Hello twelch,
Welcome to FixYa.
My name is John, and I will be assisting you with your issue today.
If it is the old four(4) wire mic, the wiring will be as follows:
Pin #1. Shield (Ground)
Pin #2. White (Audio)
Pin #3. Red (Transmit)
Pin #4. Black (Recieve)
If it is a SIX (6) wire! The Blue would go to Pin #1. with the Shield, and the Yellow
has no connection. I hope this was helpful to you. Your Comments and Testimony's are
always welcome here at FixYa. Thanks for choosing FixYa today and in the future.

Can recieve but not transmit

The mic wires are soldered incorrectly. Get another cobra mic for that radio or have a qualified radio tech correct the wiring.

Lost channels in a galaxy 66v cb radio

as far as the transmit frequency changing while you have the mic keyed this is normal, the transmit frequency is a little different than the receive, as far as the lost channels go you need to check the galaxy website and check to see if thier is any fixes listed. if none is listed then you can send the tech's a e-mail and tell them your problem and they will advise you on what to do.
