Question about Dell 810 All-In-One InkJet Printer

Dell 810 not printing

My printer has worked fine since I got it about a year ago, then yesterday it suddenly stopped working. I have checked all the connections and tried resetting the computer but it still does not print. It will not print the test page but did print the nozzle cleaning page. It printed a few pages yesterday then stopped again. There is no error message showing, and the scanner on the printer still works. The documents appear briefly in the printing queue then dissapear without being printed. Thanks for your help!

    I tried this, nothing seemed disconnected at all unfortunatly. I was hoping it was something simple like I'd unplugged a wire somewhere!

    I can get the printer to work now, but only if two people are logged onto the computer, the second person to log on can print normally. I have no idea why!

Dear chibihamster, It seems that there is some loose connection in your printer. If you have a little knowledge in hardware, please open your printer carefully, check all the connected cable specially the printer head connector. The best way is that disconnect the printer head cable and reconnect it again. Do not do anything in your scanner circuit area, otherwise it will create you more problems. If this doesn't solve your problem, please contact the manufacturer. GOOD LUCK!!

Sounds like your cartridge may be unseated or it is really incompatible. You do not state clearly that you have printed successfully with this cartridge before.

BOUGHT NEW DELL COMPUTER. DELL 810 WILL NOT SCAN TO COMPUTER, BUT WILL PRINT WHEN YOU SCAN


My 810 acted up suddenly and just stopped working. It had been ok with a new computer which is now 2 years old. I uninstalled and reinstalled the printer driver. That solved my problems.

810 all in one printer (previously worked ok)


Have you tried unplugging the printer, rebooting and replugging in the printer. Sometimes the system does not successfully complete the communication with the printer. If this doesn't fix the problem,
Check the devices (system folder) in the Control Panel for the printer to see if there is an error indicated for the printer.
Let me know what you find and we can take it from there.

My windows 7 won't send anything to my dell 810 printer to be printed. The scanner part of it works but that's it. Why won't it send anything to be printed???


Uninstall the Windows 7 drivers, disconnect the printer, download and install the drivers from Dell's support site and reconnect the printer.

Printer reads RIGHT CARTRIDGE INCORRECT


If you have purchased the cartridges directly from dell , it will be covered under warranty for 2 years for hardware errors and you can call dell on 1800 624 9896 and get the cartridge replaced , even after the replacement of the cartridges if you have the similar issue then its an issue with the printer and needs to be replaced.

Dell 810 All-In-One InkJet Incompatible Ink Cartridge error message


Well, first off ,it's dell's fault, not yours. Even Official Dell cartridges are temperamental at best. The cartridge error you are explaining is common with Dells. They even have what's called a marriage issue, meaning the cartridge will work in only one single printer. However, I'm not sure how to fix it. Sometimes, you can install a new one and the other cartridge you never touched gives you fits, and goofs up. I'd say get a new printer. Dell is increasingly getting more stingy with their ink, and truth be told, I don't think their quality (*lexmark makes dell, so stay away from them too) matches HP or canon. If you want the best cost per page, get a canon that has individual ink cartridges. They are easy to refill, and print a great picture. You pay more $$ up front, but you'll save a ton in the long run

Printer hangs and prints slow


Dell replaced it for a 928 printer which is fine. Apparently the 810 won't work with vista

New installation 810, printer works A1, scanner won't work


Uninstall and reinstall the software. Normally the software installed on the computer controls the scanner functions for the all in one dell stuff. Check dells site also for any updates that might correct this issue.
