Samsung SF560. Fax is showing error message that cartridge is empty although it is a new cartridge. Cartridge has been changed 3 times always for a brand new one, fax has also been rebooted. Fax will print confirmations but incoming faxes are not printing

yes again i have tried replacing the toner with no joy,

i tried both cartridges on another model in the building and they both work fine .....

Message reads "toner empty". Replaced with 3 new toner cartidges and still get same message. Fax machine will let make copies with no problem, but is showing memory stored faxes that fax machine will not print out

Fax has (Toner empty) elert and I have replaced three ML-1710D3 cartridges. I have tried to reboot and reset toner elert but it will still not receive or send faxes.

I can confirm that the information posted by guest on Apr 30 2008 is correct. It is vital that you have the correct model of cartridge installed. The SF-560 uses SCX-4216D3 and the SF-560R uses
SF-D560RA. The cartridges look very similar, but the cartridge detection contacts are different on both cartridges. The cartridges will fit in either of the machines, and this is where the problem is.

Check if there is a fuse in place (usually fitted to the front edge of the cartridge) and always replace when refilling.

Most Copier Cartridge have chips on them that tell the copier I am new, Replacing the toner/refill, does not change the chip info as long as the chip says I am empty its empty to the copier, replace the cartridge with a new OEM cartridge.

Get rid of the error message "toner empty stop" after replacing the cartridge with a new Samsung cartridge?

After replacement with OEM cartridge it will never show Toner empty

however refil cartrdige will show the same , You need to replace the chip to remove the empty indication

If the Toner Low/Empty message does not automatically clear when a new cartridge is installed, use the following to clear the message manually:
1.Press MENU # 1 9 3 4. The machine should display TECH.
2.Press MENU, and ENTER. The machine should display TECH Mode.
3.Press the left arrow < once. The machine will show NEW CARTRIDGE.
4.Press ENTER, the machine will show YES.
5.Press ENTER, there should not be any Toner Low/Empty message.
6.Exit TECH MODE, press MENU # 1 9 3 4. The machine will no longer display TECH.
If Toner Low/Empty message continues, there may be a problem with the toner cartridge or the machine.

How do I change the toner?

The Fax-2480c does not use toner cartridges.
This is an inkjet and so uses ink cartridges.

There are 4 cartridges, black, yellow, cyan (blue) and magenta (red). If any of these cartridges are empty, you need replace them.

This machine takes LC-51 cartridges.
You're probably out of warranty so jsut get refills... it's cheaper

Empty toner message on panel suggests getting new cartridge. New cardtridge gave same error message. New OEM cartridge is missing the fuse. Could this be the problem. Or do i need to reset the fax?

You have to reset your printer, bocs company has locked the pages count limit in all models of samsung printers.

Can't receive fax but can send fax

I have a feeling that it is a re-manufactured or compatible cartridge??
There is a fuse that needs to be replaced on this unit. it blows when the cartridge is installed to reset the machine. If the fuse has not been replaced or is defective the machine will not recognize the new unit.

Samsung SF560 error message door open & jam, no toner.

I have put a new toner in and it says "[jam 1] or no cartridge" please help this is an office fax and desperately needs to be working.

Turn off the Machine for safety.
- Try to double check if the toner cartridge is properly installed
- Clean it also if dusty
- Make sure he sensor have no paper or dust.

"toner empty" problem

The samsung sf 5100 toner cartridge has a .05 Amps fuse in it. This gets blowed when you switch on the machine.This is used to reset the page counter and also to inform the machine that you have inserted a new toner. Now this recycled cartriges will not have this fuse and this is the reason why your machine shows TONER EMTY message! If you dont get the same rating fuse, put any fuse of the same size, insert the toner, close the door and just switch on the power and switch off immediately. Then take out the Toner cartridge and remove the fuse. Now your cartridge is ready for use.
