If you have a Levono Thinkpad Laptop you may have a problem where the screen will either go blank or flicker after viewing a YouTube video. This happened on a new Levono Thinkpad E570 with WIN 10 I just received. I have experience with PC support before I retired and could not find a fix on the web for this specific problem. I finally traced the problem to the display adapter device driver. To fix the problem, you will have to first uninstall the current driver and let the laptop search automatically for the best current driver. The instructions to do this are below:
FIRST UNINSTALL CURRENT DRIVER BY:
1. Hold down the WINDOWS key (lower left on the keyboard) and push the "X" key.
2. From the pop-up menu select "DEVICE MANAGER"
3. From the list of drivers, select the one you want to change. In this example I am going to use "DISPLAY ADAPTER"
4. Double click on "DISPLAY ADAPTER"
5. Then double click on your current display adapter.
6. A window will pop-up with selectable tabs. Click on the DRIVER tab.
7. Click on "UNINSTALL DEVICE" and follow directions
8. Restart your computer when finished
9. Repeat the steps 1 to 4 above and you should see the display adapter driver should be the default windows driver, now you can close the device driver windows.
10. To automatically install a new updated driver follow the directions below.
TO AUTOMATICALLY INSTALL A NEW UPDATED DRIVER:
NOTE: You will need to be on-line to be able to search the web for the automatic updates.
1. Hold down the WINDOWS key (lower left on the keyboard) and push the "X" key.
2. From the pop-up menu select "DEVICE MANAGER"
3. From the list of drivers, select the one you want to change. In this example I am going to use "DISPLAY ADAPTER"
4. Double click on "DISPLAY ADAPTER"
5. Then double click on the current display adapter (Should now be the default Windows driver if you used the uninstall instructions above).
6. A window will pop-up with selectable tabs. Click on the DRIVER tab.
7. Click on "UPDATE DRIVER" and then select "Search automatically for updated driver software" and follow directions.
8. When complete you should have the new driver automatically installed.

Base system devices on laptops are usually tied with WebCam or card reader drivers. If your computer has Windows 7 on it, just download and install WEBCAM and CARD READER drivers from the manufacturer's website. If it has Windows Vista or XP, you may have to download and install the chipset drivers first, then the other 2 mentioned above.
Within Win7 Pro and Ultimate there is a in XP Mode. That would mean you can use your old driver howver, before that I would check on the manufacturers web site for your Base System for Win7 drivers. You may well find thet Vista drivers work OK. Hope that helps.
