Is there a kenmore refrigerator recall?

It’s manufactured by Frigidaire. They can most likely tell you.

In addition, you could call your local Chevrolet dealer and mention the specific recall (the recall numbers are on the web page below) and work with them directly. Recalls do not cost you anything.

Letter not needed. Simply call the dealer and schedule the repair. They will verify the recall by the vin.

I could not tell you without a specific model number. You might try doing a web search for your refrigerator's model number and the word "recall." I assume the refrigerator's warranty has expired, or you would not be asking about a recall.

In the meantime, talk to your Sears service manager and see if they will make an accommodation for you on the ice-maker repair. Sometimes companies will give a courtesy extension on a warranty if the problem occurred during the warranty period, but the warranty expired before repairs were done. However, since you do not mention requesting repairs to the ice-maker before the end of the warranty, you can't expect much joy there.

The fridges affected were manufactured between January 2000 and October 2006. After shipping and sitting around in shops, you can probably extend that margin to machines SOLD between 2000 and 2008. The first 2 digits of the serial numbers indicate the year of manufacture, so if your serial number doesn't start 00, 01, 02, 03, 04, 05 or 06 you don't even need to check.

The site also provides a mail address and a UK Freefone number that you can call (Though I've tried the number and it keeps cutting me off!! I presume they are swamped with calls)

How were you informed of the recall...usually this is a letter that has reference numbers and contact information too. Do you mean 2007 Buick not 1997 Buick? Irregardless, a recall is a recall...you can contact Buick on line for the nearest GM Dealer to you...or as you are aware of there location, drive to the service entrance and explain the purpose of your visit...if a wiper recall exists...the GM Dealer will have the help you need. Hello fellow Windstar owner. I just took my 2001 Windstar into a local Ford Dealer here in Chicagoland to have my rear axle inspected. I can tell you that FORD is taking this recall issue very seriously and with that you will NOT need to produce any recall letter to get your vehicle inspected and then repaired. FORD goes by youre VIN Number as a means to track everything like this recall issue. By the way, FORD really impressed me with the repair that was done tommy rear axle and I am very hard to please (I am a former auto mechanic). You will not have any problems with FORD taking a look at your van.

call any GM dealer they can tell u if your specific car is involved, it goes by vehicle ID number or VIN, u will also revieve a letter in the mail at some point.
