Question about Frigidaire 24 in. PLD3465REC Stainless Steel Built-in Dishwasher
SOURCE: Er message on panel of Frigidaire GLD3450RD
I had the same problem last spring. Unfortnuatly, the problem is within the electronic control. Steam leaks in, due to an improper seal ring. Humidity stay in the compartment and eventually, the contact on the wire ribbon corrodes. For me, it meant a new electronic module.
If the eletronic module is ok, then the only working solution require that you order and install a "fit kit" from Frigidaire.
Some models even have a recall made form Frigidaire. Better check with them.
Good luck!

SOURCE: 6 mo. old frigidaire d/w displays the "ER clean S" flashing error
Probably a control panel failure. This unit does not ventfrom the front like most do, so there needs to be some clearance above the top of the tub to avoid blocking the vent fan, otherwise moisture gets trapped in the machine and works it's way into the control panel eventually.

SOURCE: our 6 month old frigidaire
My unit has the same problem and it is due to a failure of the control board. The tech that came to look at it tells me that this unit vents from the top of the tub rather than from the front, and he claims that the installation instructions require a 1" gap between the top of the tub and the countertop.
Now I have found no such information in the installation manual that I downloaded, and I am skeptical that a 1" gap could be done, and if it could it wouldn't look to good.
I am going to pull my unit out and see exactly where the vent fan is and what the clearance is. The service tech says they can't replace the control panel until the installation is proper. I am thinking this is at least to some extent a design flaw with this machine. There seem to be a lot of reports of this failure.

The dishwasher is junk...poorly designed. Masterboard for electronic buttons keeps shorting out because the dishwasher vents from the top. have this dishwasher and know first hand. had it for about a year and its been fixed several times

SOURCE: Dishwasher showing Er . Reads as
ER code, that indicates a keypad switch failure.
If you confirm the error code and it is an ER UO code then the vent fan assembly will need to be replaced. If you can't verify the error code then I recommend a technician check this problem.

Good Afternoon Sammy, thank you for your inquiry!
Based off the information you have provided you would like to reset your Frigidaire dishwasher because it is flashing "ER". The best way to reset your dishwasher is to flip the household circuit breaker off for roughly ten minutes. If you continue to receive the "ER" code it could be a possible problem with your main control board or keypad. I hope this is helpful information. -Matt

Hi Carla Rae Caswell, thanks for your inquiry!
Typcially, "ER" stands for error on a Frigidaire range and it is usually followed by a number to distinguish what the error code means. I would suggest performing a reset on your appliance and you can do that by unplugging the power cord or flipping the household circuit breaker off for ten minutes. If that does not correct the problem you may want to consult with a professional for proper diagnosis and repair. -Matt

Hi
"Er Clean S" is a common error with Frigidaire which means
shorted keypad. The issue is with the touchpad/keypad that should be replaced.
However, before replacing the keypad you can unplug it and take it apart
completely and use a hair dryer to blow some warm air on the keypad assembly to
blow the moisture off. Hope this helps...please post back for further
assistance.
