Samsung SGH-D500 mobile phone battery problem (I think)

The battery doesn't seem to be able to keep its charge, even though I've charged it up overnight - it only seems to last a couple of days and it's not as if I use it a lot (older person!). I've replaced the battery but the same thing happens. Now today it's completely died and won't even light up. Can anyone help please?

Those phones had a problem related to charging batteries.one of the solutions was to upgrade software.on the other hand,those samsung phones are known to die due to faulty flat cable...

How to charge my battery through the USB Data Cable

Well it does, I don't know what had happen to your cable but mine works...it automatically charges my phone every time I connects the cable to my PC.
There might be something wrong with your cable's charging capability or with your phones charging port.
Try to look for some switches if there is. But I think the problem is your Data cable's capability to charge.

It could be the connection to the charger or the charger itself or maybe the battery is cooked, goosed, knacked...
More likely to be the charger, try to borrow a charger known to work to test.
Move the wire on the charger while looking at the charge indicator to see if it's intermittent in charging.

Samsung D500 not able to charge

Your port has been damage, somebody have prob plug it in the wrong way. Chepect selution is to buy a desktop or standalone charcher that you put your battery in to charge.
