    it's not connected to computer
    it's used as a stand alone

    i tried with a computer and nothing

    it has ink tanks that feed tubes to the head.
    Ive taken it apart the waste tank is almost empty
    this unit was working then stopped with this error

    a foreign object such as a clip or ripped paper is in machine
    thats why i took it apart but found nothing in it.

    Was working wonderfully and then got error message "Unable to change. " I shut it down and turned it back on and got a message that black ink was low...then same "Unable to change" message came back on. I changed black ink but nothing helps...just get "unable to change. See user's manual trouble shooting and routine maintenance guide". Any suggestions?

Unload the software. Restart the computer come off line. disable the anti virus Re install follow the prompts exactly. If still introuble take a look at www.fixyourownprinter.com

    You did not say that in the first instance.
    Never the less if you are able install it on a computer with the software correctly installed and attempt to use it there- We are trying to run a check.
    When using as a stand alone of course the 'printer' will only print something that has been scanned
    i/e being used as a 'copier'
    or to view/print photographs from media cards
    Therefore a more comprehensive explanation of what you are trying/expecting the device to do would be useful.

    this could be a cartridge problem or if the model is so equipped - waste ink tank full.

    By the way does the manual - either the paper one or the one the the software disk cover this type of error?

After power on mfc directly press menu then start mono then 4x arrow-up button. mfc goes to maintenance and beeps permanetly. What error code does the display show up?

    This error shows up often after a paper jam. You have to disassemble the printer to see if there are paperpieces left inside the machine. The second job is to adjust the encoder strip at the right place on top of the printhead. Paper sometimes ejects (lift it out of position) the strip. This very simple to do :-)

Fi-6130z fujitsu scanner jamming repeatedly


Hello Meg,
To troubleshoot your scanner issue, yuo are advised to perform the steps provided below:
1.Remove all documents from the ADF paper chute.
2.Open the ADF while pressing down the ADF open lever. If your has the imprinter option attached, please open the imprinter and then open the ADF.
3.Remove the jammed papers from the ADF.
4.Close the ADF pushing the center part of the ADF carefully.
If document jams occur frequently, then please check the followings:
1. Do the documents satisfy paper specification?
2. Have the documents been jogged?
• Align the edge of documents for stable paper feeding.
• Remove documents with crease or dog-ear.
• Scanning different width of documents may cause skew and result in paper jam.
3. Are Chuter Unit (ADF paper chute),Guide P ASSY (Sheet guide), Feed roller cover (plate guide) and Brake roller cover installed correctly?
4. Clean the Feed rollers, Eject rollers,Plastic rollers, glass surface and paper feeding surface, and see if the error is resolved.
5. Check the consumable counter from the TWAIN driver screen. When the counter exceeds the values, replace Pick roller or Brake roller see if the error is resolved.
6. If the issue still persists, then you are recommended to contact the nearest Fujitsu service center for further assistance.

Hello Sharon,

When a document jam occurs, "J" and "1" will display alternately on the function number display panel of the scanner.Please perform the following:
  1. Remove all documents from the ADF paper chute.
  2. Open the ADF while pressing down the ADF open lever. If you are using fi-6130 with the imprinter option attached, please open the imprinter and then open the ADF.
  3. Remove the jammed papers from the ADF.
  4. Close the ADF pushing the center part of the ADF carefully.

If document jams occur frequently, please check the followings:

1. Do the documents satisfy paper specification?

2. Have the documents been jogged?

I have a hp officejet pro 8500a and it has started leaving a black line on all copies when the original is fed thru the ADF. What is causing this??


Hi, Change first black color print head cartridge just open cover then replace black print head cartridge.close cover wait for ink cartridge reinitialize if ready print test again.if same print having black line all copy needs to replace also black ink cartridge.

The rollers in ADF are not moving


select in software - adf front side , back side or duplex then only it will scan from adf.If you have selected adf and its not scannning then pls check whther the rollers are rotating or not.

E2-2 = No paper (ASF)
E3-3 = Paper jam

First way
turn off printer.
- put your finger and hold on/off with reset/stop button together
- turn on printer power switch
- release on/off button but in the same time still hold stop/reset button and then press on/off button again and hold.
- wait at the moment
- relese stop/reset button 2X.( your will see alarm led blingking for 2X)
- relese on/off button.
wait until your printer digital screen shows number 0.
- after printer panel screen shows number 0.
- press reset button 4x
- press on/off button 1x
wait until your hear printer roller is moving
after your hear roller moving, wait until your dont hear anything from your printer :)
then turn off and turn on your printer again and your will see your printer back to normal.

Second Way
turn off printer.

- wait at the moment
- relese stop/reset button 2X.( your will see alarm led blingking for 2X)
- relese on/off button.
wait until your printer digital screen shows number 0.
- after printer panel screen shows number 0.

after your hear roller moving, wait until your dont hear anything from your printer :)
then turn off and turn on your printer again and your will see your printer back to normal.

When making copies using the ADF, vertical lines print out on the paper. Doesn't happen when paper put directly on the glass.


The ADF works by moving the paper past the scanhead, on glass works by moving scanhead past the paper.

When you are scanning with ADF, the scanhead is parked in a particular position, under the glass. Just at one extreme end. Open the unit to te point that you are able to clean the lint, debris, lollipop sticks from this area. That should be it, since works otherwise indicates a good scan head.

Hp 3055 no lingt on the control pannel, no power up, no warm up, it just like pluck off machine. nothing comes on.. what is the problem? anyone experience it? please give me a hand... thanks


Hi benkoh76: Here is your problem. Troubleshooting checklist Follow these steps when trying to solve a problem with the all-in-one. Step number Verification step Possible problems Solutions 1 Is the power on? When the all-in-one is connected to a grounded power source and is turned on, the control panel shows Hewlett-Packard with moving cursors indicating that the firmware code is loading, and the main motor rotates for approximately 45 to 60 seconds. When the firmware is done loading, Scanner bulb warming up might appear on the control-panel display, and the scan head moves back and forth for 10 to 15 seconds. If you lift the scanner cover, you will see that the scanner bulb is lit. Near the end of this time, the ADF motor turns on for about two seconds. No power as a result of a failed power source, cable, switch, or fuse. 1. Verify that the all-in-one is plugged in. 2. Verify that the power cable is functional and that the power switch is on. 3. Check the power source by plugging the all-in-one directly into the wall or into a different outlet. Motor does not start. 1. Verify that the all-in-one is plugged into a working electrical receptacle. 2. Verify that the print cartridge is installed correctly. Follow the instructions on the control panel to remove and replace the cartridge. 3. Verify that the top cover is closed. ADF motor does not start. Open the ADF cover and remove any orange shipping tape inside the ADF. Verify that the ADF connector is connected correctly to the scanner. If the ADF motor still does not rotate, replace the ADF. Scanner bulb does not light. If the scanner bulb does not light, verify that the wire-harness connectors from the scanner to the formatter are connected correctly. If the error persists, replace the following components one at a time until the problem is resolved: scanner assembly, formatter. Hope this helps

The roller and retard pad need replaced. They are simply worn.
