Question about Sony Handycam DCR-TRV240 Digital Camcorder
My DCR TRV240 was exposed to moisture during hurricane Katrina. I have replaced a number of parts and finally have everything working. The problem is it worksd beautifully as long as it is plugged into the AC power adapter. The new battery is charging properly but when I remove the AC adapter it shuts down. Early on it would work in the battery mode occasionally for only a few seconds and then shut down. Now it doesn't even do that. To date I have replaced the Battery(NP-FM30), Control switch block (SS-1380, Flexible board (FP-410, battery terminal board, and the Control Switch block (CF-2500). Can you direct me to what part may be the problem? I could replace the VC-276 board for $700 but I could buy a new camera for that. Thank you for any help with this that you can provide. Try hotairing (set 4 to 5, medium airblow)the main board, check also the mechanical connection or terminals ( I assumed you already did that).
