I was given a black & decker deep fryer for Xmas. The gift was purchased at CTR in Thunder Bay but the person did not give me a gift receipt and upon checking they did not keep their receipt. I love this product but was horrified to come home and find that while my husband was using the fryer the electric cord melted. We were very alarmed that this unnoticed could have caused a fire in our home. My email address is [email protected]. Please advise us of your policy for this situation. Thank you
I certainly do not feel that this is not a solution as I feel that the company should replace this cord not me. It has only been used about 8-10 times since Xmas. Surely black & decker can stand behind this product.I certainly do not feel that this is not a solution as I feel that the company should replace this cord not me. Wal-mart used to carry it, but you can also order from Black & Decker online. If you want to save a few bucks go to home depot and get some similar filter material and make your own. I have done that before.
The FryBaby deep fryer production was discontinued many years ago. The only place you will get instruction is at Presto, Customer Service, 800-877-0441.
i called 1800-798-7398 mine is the 5liter fryer, and he needed the model number and date number on the back of the unit *difficult to see/ black plastic, but once I told him what this info was, service tech advised me to push a reset. It looks like a hole where a screw would be .. but I did as he suggested took a pen, pushed it in the hole * i could see no screw in the hole.. and when I plugged it in, turned it on, it started to heat up right away! Hope this is helpful for you! Call the number, Mine was a gift too, I had no receipt. He also wanted to know where it may have been purchased. I knew mine was from canadian tire. All is good. Call the number with model, and age date on hand.. and i am sure they will help you out too. They gave me an account number for refrence if i have any further questions/probs.
