Zenith H2533Y TV Entering Service Mode

When first plugged in, TV turns on automatically and displays what seems to be in hotel mode with no functions from the front panel or remote. I have tryed removing MPU and re-installing with no avail. I tryed entering service mode by holding MENU then 9 8 7 6 ENTER, and that doesn't work. I've tryed holding down CH UP & VOL UP & Options and still not working. There doesn't seems to be a MENU button on the front panel. I've checked the remote with an infrared detector and that works, is there any way of checking the reciever end without removing the front panel? Is there any other way to enter service mode other than what I've tryed already? Please Help, I'm at a loss. Thank You

I am in the same boat. I have a philips PCO125C121 and its stuck on hotel mode. called philips but they dont seem to know old set i guess (dated 2002?) . i got as far as buying the green remote rc2573 and accesing features that will not change until I change over to consumer mode. but when i pressed the code 024995 menu while in set up mode all i get is the menu. its as if the code numbers where never pressed. help am i doing something wrong? I feel like i am skipping a step. i have the rc2573 directions and can access all the features but once again useless unless I change the mode over to consumer.I would appreciate any response

If there is a lg lst-4100a conrol box attached to my hotel tv if i take it off will the tv work without it. Meaning will it power on at all?

You have to select a proper input, other than 'cable box'. There should be no other problem. it should work as normal TV. But, if you wish to select an other input, you should first release the Hotel mode, and set the TV to normal mode. If you have to make this selection, you might have to enter its service mode. This procedure might need some practical experience. So, contact any experienced service technician in this case.

Remove hotel lock

You have to get into its Service Menu option to unlock Hotel Mode. Contact any service technician. They only can do it, as entering into service mode, and adjust data values there; without any knowledge about it; might make the TV irreparable.
