Unable to connect mouse to acer laptop

Make sure that you are plugin in the USB mouse into the same port you would a flash drive or zip drive or a jump drive.

Put the AAA size batteries (2 in numbers) into the optical mouse minding the polarities as shown on the Optical mouse battery tray. Connect the USB wireless transmitter from the Optical mouse to your Laotop. Wait for the drivers to load. If the driver does not load automatically, put in the driver CD or download the driver from the manufacturer site.

Had same problem here is solution
Open battery cover on mouse,
remove the usb dongle (optical mouse drive)
put usb mouse dongle in usb port on computer
it sets itself up,
looks like a standard logitec mouse setup,
works just fine

Plug in a USB or optical mouse,then use that to go to your control panel/device manager and remove your pointing device,then restart your computer.Windows will reload the drivers for your built in mouse,they are probably corrupted..that should fix it:)

You should be safe to go with a USB mouse.

Most Logitech mice need to have the software loaded and then there is a setup/connect option. You click connect in the software and then puch to connect button on the mouse. Other Logitech mice just have connect buttons on the mouse and receiver. On these push the button on the receiver and then push the button on the mouse.

connect your mouse. then restart your laptop do not remove mouse while restarting laptop. if not work after restart there is a problem in your mouse IC.

I have a hp laptop. My sis gave me a toshiba wireless optical mouse which I am unable to install as she lost the installation guide. Kindly help

Your best bet would be to buy a new mouse.or the mouse is not compatible with your laptop.

are you using a wireless mouse? is this a mouse that has been previously working fine?

is this an optical mouse?

are you connected to the internet?
