I think you will find that you are in fact using the fastest speed processor for the socket 'A' type of motherboard as AMD has changed to socket 754 or 939 for dual core processors. You can clock the speed a little in the bios, if you go to the peocessor section in the bios and look at the clock speed probably set at 133MHZ you can move it up 1 increment at a time, eg 134MHZ and keep trying until the pc wont boot up, at which point you will have to reset the cmos settings JBAT1 terminal and then set it again to the fastest you got it to before it wouldnt boot.

Like to replace my processor which is AMD Duron 900MHz to Motherboard Gigabyte 7VM333M-RZ. Which current processors are compatible with this board? Please advise. I want a current fast processor.

Hi, As far as I can see, this motherboard is very old, and the faster processor you could get would be around 1.8 ghz, single core. Here's the list of supported processors:
http://www.cpu-upgrade.com/mb-Gigabyte/7VM333M-RZ.html
What I would suggest is that you buy a motherboard/cpu combo, then you could get a quad core with a recent motherboard for less than 150-200$. Of course you'd have to be willing to change your motherboard, but unfortunately, you're not gonna get a good processor with your current motherboard, and computer parts (like Ram, hard drives, video cards) are going to cost more and more for their rarety, while they are less performant.
Best of luck to you!

I have a QDI KinetiZ 7b/e motherboard with a VIA VT8363A Apollo KT133A chipset (4GP 4x/2x for a socket A processor and an AMD Athlon 1.1 Ghz processor. Three SDRAM sockets each with 512MB. OS is Windows...

You are running the fastest processor that this board will accept. If you want to go faster, you will need to buy a new motherboard and replace it.

Like to upgrade I have DG 965 RY LGA 775 Socket

Hi, your motherboard supports several different kinds of processors. You have a choice of two for the fastest performance. You could go with an Intel Core 2 Duo Processor #E6700 that runs at 2.66 Ghz with a front side bus of 1066 Mhz and 4 Mb L2 cache, or you could go with an Intel Single Core Processor #670 that runs at 3.80 Ghz with an 800 Mhz front side bus and 2Mb L2 cache. The Core 2 would outperform the Single Core, but it is more expensive. Hope this helps! Hal

Fastest CPU available for the K7N2G?

Look for socket A processors and ignore the XXXX+ and focus on the XXXXMHz rating (the MoBo's manufacturer's support site will give you the max processor your Board will handle). Since you mention that your MoBo is 4 to 5 years old, you'll probably better serve yourself to replace the MoBo and processor (you'll be able to upgrade to a much better/faster processor by upgrading both, and shouldn't cost that much more), and probably be happier with the result. You may want/need to upgrade your Power supply while you are at it too.
