Question about Samsung SyncMaster 174V 17" Flat Panel LCD Monitor
Looks like we got disconnected during our chat session. I still think it may be those bulbs. If there was any kind of surge, it could have taken them out. I'm looking for specifics on the lamp though. If I find anything, I'll post it here.

I suggest testing each of the bulbs for continuity with a voltmeter. If any of them have no continuity, then the bulb's busted, and you need to replace them all (otherwise you'll have an unevenly lighted screen). I haven't found specifics on your monitor to tell me whether they're daisy chained to all go out if one goes out (like Christmas lights) or not. Nor have I found a place to buy a new lamp - yet.
Well, it looks like the lamp is integrated. If it goes out, you may have to order the entire LCD assmebly. So hopefully, it's the bulbs.
Here's a technical datasheet, if you need it. It may be greek though.

If you need me again, I'll be on and off most the night, feel free to start another chat (and don't pay for it this time, since you've already paid for my help).
