Bios password

hi, BIOS or CMOS password are usually reset by a jumper or shorting pins. if your are the owner of the laptop you can go the brand site and ask for a universal default password. this is the safest way. however, if you don't want these hassles you can follow below procedure but with risks. it is for you to follow or not.
1. when you prompt the with password. type anything.
2. 3 wrong password will show "system disabled" with codes.
3. Turn off your computer, remove the adapter and battery on your laptop for a couple of seconds.

Reboot your system and see if password is disabled.
im not responsible for any damage for system. it's your own risk.

thanks

Computer has been working fine. Now all of a

Hi,
When system boots press the key to get into BIOS. Usually it is 'Del' Key. Once you get into BIOS, if not asking a password, get into admin menu and set the password option disabled.
If asking for a password while you get in to BIOS and you dont know the password, the only option is to reset the BIOS.
To reset BIOS u've to remove the back cover and remove and re-insert the CMOS battery while the laptop is powered off. After that, power on the laptop and set the bios to normal setting, especially the time. This wont harm any of your data.
Please come back and vote for me if this finds helpful for you. Thnx

I have a advent 7113 laptop and i have done everthing to get passed the bios password with no luck been at it for a week now and i think i am going to hit my son over the head with his laptop can any one...

The BIOS Password is set from the BIOS configuration. Ask your son for the password. Once you have this password, you can enter the BIOS configuration and remove/disable this password.
Depending how old you computer is, removing the BIOS battery and main battery for 15+ mins may remove this password and restore the BIOS to the factory default (insert both batteries again) and configure the BIOS Date and Time etc.
BUT if the the password is stored on an EEPROM chip then removing will not fix this problem. There are no backdoor passwords available.

Advent 7109a bios password

I cannnot claim ownership of this information:

found on:
http://www.tech-faq.com/dell-bios-password.shtml

Christophe Grenier has written a program that will calculate the master BIOS password for Dell Latitudes from the Service Tag number. That program is available at http://www.users.globalnet.co.uk/~skynet/zips/latitude.exe.
If you cannot boot your Latitude to run this program, you can get the master password for your Dell by calling Dell Technical Support at (800)624-9896.
Dell Technical Support will request the Service Tag and Express Service Code from the bottom of your Latitude.
If you were not the original owner of the Latitude, Dell will transfer registration of the used Latitude from the original owner with only the Service Tag and Express Service Code from the tag on the laptop.
To transfer the registration of a used Dell Latitude, fill out the Transfer of Ownership form on Dell's web site.

Resetting a Toshiba BIOS Password KeyDisk will reset the BIOS password on Toshiba laptops.

Keydisk - http://www.cgsecurity.org/keydisk.exe

** I have downloaded this file myself from the link above and scanned it with microsoft one care, it came up clean **

Some Toshiba's can be convinced to bypass the startup BIOS password if you hold down the <LEFT-SHIFT> key while booting the system.

Can not get into phoenixbios setup utility

Hi

Is it like when you turn on your computer it asks you for a BIOS password.

You need to open the notebook from the back and locate the small battery which looks like the shape of coin,
After locating it take that battery out and turn on your computer,
Once your computer is fully loaded then turn if Off,
Then put the battery back and turn on your computer
Try to go into BIOS.
I am sure you will be able to go into BIOS.
