You must sure is the burner contacts are o.k or the receptacle is faulty see the diagram . You must clean the receptacle, and see if some wires and loose or burn, and repair or replace. However you must sure too if the switches are o.k look for some loose wires or faulty wires and repair, or the switch are faulty test with VOM continuity see the diagram. God bless you

I have a GE Range Model JBS27W H2WW and the serial# XXXXX that I was cooking on and the back burner starting throwing out sparks and blew a hole in the coil and the drip pan. Now the light Burner on is staying on and I switched the 8 inch burner in the front with this 8 inch burner and still cannot get it to work.
take millivolt reads while main burner is on.i suspect you will see a drop in voltage until you get to point where it will no longer operate burner(around 200mv).if this is the case you probably have poor pilot characteristics due to dirty pilot, pilot out of adjustment ,obstruction or insufficient gas pressure
usually the small opening on the burner that 'points' to the pilot light will get clogged with cleaning soap or spills. Look carefully (the burner may be very easy to remove for inspection. There should be a small hole on the side pointing toward the location of the pilot light. It will be lower down than the main burner openings. Clean it out with a wooden toothpick.
Most problems with gas ranges have to do with the flame—either it isn't quite right or it's nonexistent. Many new gas ranges have "electronic ignition," a spark igniter that starts the flame as gas flows through the burnersf, when you turn on a burner, it fails to spark but you hear sparking at other burners, the igniter or the burner switch probably needs replacement by an appliance repairperson. If your range has a pilot light, be sure the pilot light is lit. have nice time..!! arte the solution!!
You said, have a Whirlpool electric range (model rf363pxpt0) with standalone
burners - the burner power indicator light stays lit whether the heat
control knob is on or off, there is no heat coming from the burner on
or off. You pulled the burner from the receptacle and one of the tabs
broke off and stayed in the receptacle. You removed the tab and made sure
no pieces remained in the receptacle then bought a replacement burner,
no change. You put the replacement burner in the back burner of the same
size and had heat within 10 seconds. You changed out the burner with the
one that had been in the back of the range, no heat. As long as the
breaker to the range is on the power light stays lit but no power to
that one burner only.
What is the model number and the age of your range?
Based on the info you have given here, I am going to make some assumptions. In "cleaning out all the components" you cleaned the air filter or changed it, cleaned the duct-work, and the intake combustion chamber? When the "furnace stays lite" the pilot and the main burner stays on? Lastly, when it "continues to blow cold air" is this when the main burner is on after long periods of time? If the answers are all yes, then maybe some of the ducts have come off, or the burners aren't working correctly.
