Frigidaire refrigerator flashing

I just got a brand new Frigidaire fridge. This morning I opened the fridge and the refrigerator light was flashing very steadily on, off, on, off. It's one of the ones with the hallogen light and I just got this fridge last week. It works fine. The freezer works, the fridge keeps everything cold. None of the temperature lights are flashing and the fridge is not making any weird noises. It's just the light flashing on, off, on off. What could that be? I don't seem to be having any other electrical issues in my apartment.

SOURCE: whirlpool gold refridgerator light not working and is making funny noise

Had the identical symptoms with my Whirlpool Gold GS6SHEXNB00 side-by-side refrigerator. Had a technician come on site, indicated it was the "circuit board/ timer" (Whirlpool part # 1394052). Board is accessible from behind fridge (lower left side in a white plastic housing to left of compressor).

Swapped the board out (noticed a scorched circuit on the old circuit board). Lightbulbs now work, temperature readouts also good to go.

SOURCE: Top mount fridge stopped refrigerating, maybe compressor?

It could be a bad compressor or the Start Relay that is bad, an easy way tell if the compressor is bad or not. If the compressor is hot to the touch it's probably the Start relay is bad, but with the Fridgeidare they have had some compressor issues. Good luck

Model E402b. Why is the alarm going off?

Fridge keeps beeping or buzzing: The following is for Frigidaire models but others can be addressed similarly.

Several Frigidaire refrigerator models have an electronic control panel on the freezer door the owner can use to adjust the internal temperature, dispense ice and water and receive notification about issues such as the need to replace a water filter. The refrigerators also emit a beep for various actions and as an occasional alarm. Determining what causes the beeps necessitates some troubleshooting.
Temperature Controls ·A Frigidaire refrigerator's display panel blinks when the control panel is touched to set temperature controls. After pressing "Freezer Temp" or "Refrigerator Temp" on the keypad, press the arrow buttons within five seconds to increase or decrease the desired temperature. If you do not press the arrow buttons within five seconds after pressing "Freezer Temp" or "Refrigerator Temp" on the keypad, the refrigerator beeps to indicate the current setting will stay in place.

Door Open ·When you leave the refrigerator or freezer door open, the refrigerator beeps. Also, the "Door Ajar" indicator illuminates on the appliance's display panel. Shutting the door and pressing "Alarm Reset" stops the beeping and turns off the "Door Ajar" indicator light.
·The Frigidaire refrigerator has a control lock feature that prevents use of its control panel or dispensers when the unit is locked. When the control lock is active, a beep sounds when a keypad or dispenser is pressed. Release the control lock by pressing the "Control Lock" icon for three seconds. A beep will sound, and the icon's light will go out.
Power Reset ·A power reset is occasionally necessary if the Frigidaire refrigerator's control panel does not work normally or a reset function on the keypad does not work. A power reset involves disconnecting power to the refrigerator by unplugging its power cord from the electrical outlet, waiting 30 seconds and plugging the power cord back into the electrical outlet. When the control panel resets, a beep sounds. If the refrigerator beeps even after a power reset and the beeps' source is not known, contact Frigidaire.

Frigidaire side,by side digital display flashing #4, what does, this mean....the freezer side is not warm, but nothing is staying frozen, the fridge side,is cool, but not cold

Good Morning Brett, thanks for your inquiry!

I understand that your Frigidaire refrigerator is flashing a "4" and you would like to know what that means. The "4" on your display means that there is a damper failure within your refrigerator and I would recommend checking the damper in the rear of the refrigerator to assure it is opening and closing. The damper is located in the back of your refrigerator. I would place your hand back there to assure it is blowing cold air into your refrigerator.
If the damper is not working it could be a potential issue with your damper, main control board, or wiring harness. I would then recommend performing a reset on your refrigerator. You can do that by unplugging the power cord for roughly ten minutes. If this does not help resolve your issue I would recommend having a professional technician out to perform a proper diagnosis and repair. Best of luck! -Matt

My frigidaire refrigerator side by side if flash a number 4 on the fridge side as it is not cooling

Good Morning John, thank you for your post!

Generally, error code 4 means that the refrigerator is experiencing an issue with the damper. The damper is either not opening or closing properly causing the fridge compartment to not cool. One of the best ways to determine if this is a false error code is to reset the power to your refrigerator by either unplugging it or flipping off the breaker for about 30 seconds. If the error code persists, the wiring between the damper and Main Control Board will need to be diagnosed by a professional. Depending on the results, either the damper or Main Control Board will need replacing.

Best regards!

Frigidaire FGHS2644KF. Fridge just died. Flash code of 5YCF.

Hello erintu81 - SY CF typically indicates that the refrigerator has detected a communication failure after power up. The wiring between the main control board and user interface board will need to be accurately diagnosis. Depending on the results either or will need replacing. At this point, I strongly recommend connecting a professional to move forward accurately and to properly assist with the repair(s).
