I have a FDW60 Hotpoint Dishwasher in Polar White which is nearly 3 years old. It has normally performed well though it does have a tendency to lose water from beneath the door should you open it mid-cycle.
However it now seems to leak water (from beneath the door) when it's midway through the Rinse cycle of the Eco programme - usually after it's heated the water. I put this down to using 5in1 tablets and not seperate detergents etc, but even after adding Rinse Aid it's still leaking water - does anyone have any idea's?
thanks guys n girls!

Re: It's Leaking Water!
Most common reason is that the lower spray arm splits on the seem and sprays water under the door, to proove if it is this remove lower spray arm and run through program if no leak fit new arm.

This is a bad control board that if replaced will only repeat in a short time .My advice is to contact the manufacturer and complain, you have the right as a consumer to do so.

Had a similar problem when I removed the lower spray arm for replacement (see http://www.fixya.com/support/t234402-fdw60_dishwasher ) and didn't put the centre retaining nut back. It might be worth checking the lower arm is screwed in tightly as the retaining nut prevents water escaping.
My mother has a neighbour who has a new hotpoint dishwasher which caught fire inside (Plastic on door front melted!).
Please contact Hotpoint - if yours is new, check to see if they can replace immediately otherwise its worth booking the engineer to sort £90 - free parts on machines less than 5 years old.
I've got a hotpoint dishwasher too with the same problem.. I'm going to have a crack at opening it up this evening to see if I can find the fault. It looks like corrosion on some of the wires can be a common cause for this. Will report back.
Mark.
