Frigidaire machine error codes E5E and Error Code 59

Help!!! I have laundry piling up.. I have seen a wiring harness that is not connected to anything at what I think is the control board..but I'm not sure if it is supposed to be hooked up or not. This harness comes from the motor. The machine is counting down but that's about it. It doesn't spin but does drain. Ray

OK, I had an awful unbalanced load that was banging like crazy for about 5 seconds before we hit cancel. After that the machine wouldn't rotate at all in any cycle.
After opening it up and checking the belt, I found a wire harness just siting there unconnected. Now sometimes machines have unused harnesses but clearly this had to be it. In my case it was a 5 wire harness coming from the top of the unit (control panel).

It turns out this was knocked off the motor control circuit board from the motor banging around. I could see impact marks on the white plastic housing of the control board.
From the back, undo the one screw on the L bracket holding the white housing in place. Then gently ease the housing around the motor just so you can access the top better. You won't be taking it out, just twisting to a better angle (you can, but no need to disconnect all the other wires). Lift the housing lid and you will see a another wire harness on the right side next to the green ground wire that goes to the motor. The loose harness goes right on the circuit board edge - you are not looking for pins to connect to like most harnesses you may be used to. You will see an indent for this 5 wire harness in the middle of the circuit board, so snap it over with wires towards motor. Close up the lid and reinstall the white housing back into place, making sure to get the leg clipped under the sheet metal on the front side.
One important note - the circuit board map on the printed troubleshooting sheet says this hardness goes on J3, but the correct spot on the circuit board says J2. J3 has 7 connection points and is actually not used. Nice one Frigidaire.

I actually did this twice because the first time it didn't work. The second time I just made sure I pushed ALL the connectors I c ould see in nicely in case there was a bad connection. And that did it. the machine and works fine.
Mine was a Frigidaire LFT2140ES3, but I woudn't doubt that this could happen to other models.

You were spot on with the washer control cable. I also noticed the motor harness snap was loose. so I checked the connection. That 5 pin cable is retained in place by the plastic top covering the PCB assy. Good call.

I also have a door interlock problem since day one. But I get around it by pushing the right side of the door with my knee.

I have a serious rust problem below the door. For durable goods you'ld thing these things last longer. Also the mildew problem with front loaders...

    thanks again\

My cabrio washer stops washing mid cycle and code F51 appears

This is copied and pasted info but figured it might help with any further questions. Basically if you have a f51 tilt the machine back and look for any burnt, loose, or cut wires. If all that looks fine order the part number listed at the bottom of this post.

Model # WTW6200SW0, this top load washer would intermittently display an error message during a wash cycle requiring the load to be started again after clearing the display. The problem was infrequent at the beginning, but continued to get worse with time. After trying different sized loads thinking there may be some correlation, the customer finally called for service to get it fixed.

The F51 error is a RPS (rotary position sensor) board failure where the control board looses contact with the RPS during the machines operation. The RPS uses hall effect sensors to determine the speed and direction of the drive motor, allowing the control board to constantly monitor the motors operation. Because this error is a communication error and not a mechanical error with the motor itself (that would be and F52 error) we can limit our trouble shooting to the three items that make up the RPS circuit, the control board, the wiring harness, and the RPS itself.

Looking at the wiring diagram for the RPS circuit, we will find a wiring harness consisting of brown wires connecting to the top of the control board. From here, we can test for our output voltage on pin 6. As long as we have our 15vdc on this pin, that indicates the control board is working. Our next stop is under the machine to locate the RPS board.

Tipping the machine back will reveal the motor directly underneath the tub. The RPS board is mounted on the right side (follow the brown wires) and under the motors rotor disk. An Allen wrench is used to remove the rotor and then the four bolts holding the motor stator to the tub can be removed. Once the motor is out, we can get to the RPS and the wiring harness and do a continuity check on each wire between each end of the harness. If our readings indicate a good harness, we are down to the RPS itself and it would need to be replaced. Of course there is one other thing to do, and that is make sure the connection from the harness to the board is good.

Many of these boards were manufactured with a clear lacquer being applied to the boards to protect the wire traces, and unfortunately, many of the contacts themselves became covered. This results in a poor connection to the harness connector and provides for an poor intermittent signal to the control board. To repair this unit, I removed the RPS board and using my jewelers file, cleaned the contacts for proper electrical connection. Once everything was reassembled, it ran two complete diagnostic cycles without a hiccup. And now the customer can get some laundry done without restarting the machine.

Fault3e coming up onscreen

Faulty motor in your washing machine.

Samsung uses the 3E error code to indicate a drive motor tach fault. If that sounds complicated, it's not. If you're handy, you can fix your Samsung front load washing machine error code yourself.
Below is a list of several things you can try before ordering and replacing parts to fix the 3E fault code.

How To Fix 3E Samsung Washer Error Code:

1. Unplug The Washing Machine:
Unplug the washer for 2-3 minutes. If the fault is displayed because of an electronic glitch, or communication issue, unplugging the washer for several minutes may possibly reset the electronic panel. Make sure to leave the washer unplugged for at least 2-3 minutes. Leaving unplugged for that long will allow the capacitors located on the printed control board will discharge. letting the capacitors completely discharge is the best way to reset these electronic control boards.
2. Check Wire Connections On Drive Motor:
One fairly common issue that causes the 3E error code is connection problems. Double check the wire harness on the motor. To do so you will need to remove the small back access panel to see the motor and connections. On the back right side you'll see the motor and the motor wie harness. If this was my call I would remove the connection and check the inside of the molex connection. Sometimes the contacts inside the contain burn/melt. If that check good examine the first several inches of the wire as it leaves the molex connector. I've seen the wire break a couple inches away several times. I'm not sure if it's from stress or friction but I've seen it a couple times so double check that.
3. Check Wire Connections On Control Board:
The control board could possibly have a faulty wire connections or loose connection. Not very common at least not in my area but it could happen so It's worth mentioning. Double check each connection on the control board. Make sure each connection is tight and the wires are not pinched are burnt anywhere. Again if this was my service call I would remove each wire one at a time and plug back in making sure each wire connection is seated tightly. That just ensures everything is good and sound and one more thing is ruled out.
4. Check Hall Sensor:
The hall sensor on the back of the washer monitors the speed and direction of the tub. The sensor can be out of range or it could also have a faulty wiring connection. I've also seen the wire harness on the motors hall sensor break. I know of other technicians who have seen the same issue. Double check the hall sensor. If you have a multimeter, you could ohm the sensor out. You can ohm the sensor out from the board or directly at the sensor. If you tested the hall sensor from the board, that would rule out a broken wire at the same time. That's usually how I test these hall sensors. You don't have to slide the unit forward and you can test it from the front.
Finally if all the above test good. The motor is going to most likely need to be replaced to fix the fault code. The motor on these units are actually very reliable. Unfortunately a few of them most have made it out of the factory with issues because the 3E error code on Samsung washers is becoming more and more common. I used to see this code very rarely. In the last two months I bet I've seen it 3-4 times. Electronics Appliances Tablets Laptops Phones TVs Samsung US

MY W.MASHINE AWM8000 HAVE PROBLEM,IN DISPLAY WRITE F 11 OR F DL.WHAT IS THIS

Washer will suddenly stop with 1 minute left on cycle and shows the F11 error code...at times it may show the FdL code. The washer will then not finish no matter what I do. If I unplug the unit from the outlet that does not guarantee that when I plug it back in it will start up. Fifty percent of the time it still shows the F11 error. It can take hours to finally get the washer to cancel out so I can take the laundry out that has not been spun out.

The F11 error code indicates a serial communication problem between the central control board and the motor control board. This can be caused by:

  • A loose or failed wire harness connection between the central control board and the motor control board.
  • A bad wire harness connection between the motor control board and the drive motor.
  • A failed drive motor.
  • A defective motor control board.
  • A failure in the central control board.

The diagnosis of this failure usually requires a technician. If you are able to unplug the washer and safely access the central control board and motor control board, you can check for a loose wire harness connection. Beyond that, I recommend calling a service technician to diagnose and repair your washer. The location of the internal washer components and component access for the central control board and the motor control board are in the images below.

Wont do anything but give f-11 code and to get someone to look at it is disasterous

F-11 is a communication error between the motor control board, and the central control board (User Interface).
Check the wire harness connection between the motor control board, motor, and central control board.
Take the top of the machine off to check harness connection to the control board. ( Should be 3 screws in the back of the machine holding the top on).
Take off the bottom panel. should be 4 screws at the bottom front of the washer. may have to tilt the machine backwards to get to screws and take front panel off. Check harness connection to the motor control board and to the motor. make sure there are no broken wires and that all harnesses are plugged in securely.

F 11 code and stops in middle of cycle

Hi, most communication errors are caused by bad wiring harnesses are corroded wire connector clips and bad pins. remove the panels and check the entire wiring harness layout in this unit. check the wires that run from the control board all the way to the electric motor and dispenser wires as well. check the door lock latch wires as well.

Make sure the wire harnesses are connected tightly and snug. make sure the contact clips and pins are connected. inspect thoroughly.

Also, inspect the control boards back side. take a close look at the pin connectors to see if they are discolored in any way. make sure they are snug and not corroded or burnt.

if this basic universal wire scan is a success and you cannot notice nay worn wires and, the clips on every connections are tight and connected, this will confirm a more serious issue concerning the communication ability of the control board itself.

If so, replace the control board on this unit.

Please rate and god bless:)
