    I broke the plastic cover over the LCD screen & can't find the part. I have found covers & new housings, but I was hoping to just replace the plastic screen. The links that are listed on other entries didn't work for me. HELP! I know it's just cosmetic, but the cracked plastic makes viewing the LCD an eye sore.

I did a google with keywords being: sony ericsson w810i replacement screen and a few web sites popped up. That is usually a sign that the backlight on your W810 LCD screen has gone bad. Don't fret. It is an easy repair to do yourself and will cost you about 20 dollars.

My sony ericksson w810i phone has lost it's screen but I can still talk/hear
If your phones LCD is not broken then you should refresh your phonessoftware that is deleted.Take your phone to cell phone repairer forsoft reset. If you have got data cable and PC suite installed on yourPC then update your software.

You should also consider showing your cell phone to a cell phone repairer because the problem can also be with your phones LCD screen or LCD strip that is used to connect LCD with phones chip.IF repairer found such problem then you will have to replace LCD or that LCD strip.

Display is not working
Water Damage will usually cause the LCD screen or backlight to go bad. Replacing the LCD screen on the Sony W810i is a pretty straight forward procedure. This should then take care of the problem.

A new LCD screenruns about 30 dollars from Ebay.

If your computer recognizes your phone when you plug it in, you may have a problem with the lcd screen.

When my Sony W810i had the white screen problem, I was about to buy a new phone when I found out about the Sony Ericsson Update Service (SEUS). I used it to fix the firmware inside my phone, even though the phone seemed dead and my computer wouldn't recognize it. You can download the SEUS from Sony's website here:
